One hand signed the eaqad el ziwaj (marriage contract) confidently for the cameras yet the palms were sweating. The other signed the contract with shaky hand yet a smile on the lips.
Congrats were exchanged , smiles were shared and blessings were given to the future ruler and and the future queen. This is what they were to the camera and the world. But they were just a nervous, shy, happy and newly wed couple just like any other. Be it rich or the poor.
(let me know how the intro was... Sorry but this time no hottie coz I don't want to take the lime light of the newly wedded couple... Lol... Also anyone into kpop... Also suggest me some good Korean TV series or movies... Not romance please because I really don't like sad endings and I've heard Korean romantic movies tilt in that direction. So I'm not inTo sad movies. And what else... Oh yeah I will be traveling back to Dubai... Have to go job hunting in a time where people are getting their ass kicked out... Yup bad timing I guess. But what's up with your lives.... Please comment for this against this and not end of chapter coz... I get confused... Scatter brain I am)
As soon as the announcement of the holy union was out the closed doors it spread like wildfire and the people of Dubai, Sharjah , Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain and Abu Dhabi... Basically all of seven emirates had gathered outside the house of the bride, the Zabeel Palace and the Nad Al Sheba Palace. People gathered just to catch a glimpse of the groom and his mysterious bride.
As everyone rose from their seating. Aairah for once thanked the painfully tiring princess lessons that taught her how to stand and walk with power yet not lose the grace. They walked out the room and photography stopped for a while and refreshments was being served by Stephen and her other siblings.
When being asked that the servants could serve the guests, he had most proud smile and replied calmly which held so much love for the bride, "she is my baby sister if I had to die for her I would without thinking twice."
Mohammed was so overwhelmed by the joyous vibes in his daughter in laws house. It wasn't the servants... Her family was involved. It was to seem like a public affair but it was more private and familial affair. One he had seen at his deceased elder brother Maktoum's wedding (they have repetitive names... He named his 3rd son after his brother) . Their love for each other was that of Rashid and Hamdan. But It didn't last very long. Although he loved him very much things changed between them and all the happy times turned bittersweet were now a distant memory. He learned how to be a ruler by his eldest brother but then their relationship was less of brothers and more of a mentor... There was so much pent up anger in him that he put it all into his defence training and more. But his anger disappeared when his dying brothers last words were, 'find her...find Aairah.'
Loud music of singing men was heard indicating ayyala and yollah dances being performed. Not only out her house but every where across the emirates. These dances symbolise a specific part of our past that dates back to the desert life of our people, who had to face many hardships. Music and dance played a major role because they helped our people to overcome those obstacles.
The after some minutes a different kind of traditional music was heard another indication to the popular traditional 'hair ' dance performed by women or little girls. https://youtu.be/UsBRgff2Aso
The celebration was in the air and it was no joke that the ruler announced 2 week holiday for everyone across Dubai, to join them in this holy matrimony.
The groom's family was departing and just before the groom stepped out someone tugged at his kandoura. He found Mia looking up at him. He gently picked up the little girl, "what is it little bird?"
She was so shy, "My sister is the best sister... Be nice to her."
Hamdan let out a chuckle, "Yes of course I wouldn't want to upset my little bird by making Shortstuff sad."
