since that day my parents had been invited to 3 or 4 parties hosted by the royal family and to two my siblings went to. I wasn't even told about this until one day at home after work. Mom n dad come to me and start talking to me about the parties and the people. I aggravated start shouting at them , "What is wrong with you guys. Few weeks back you were in my support what happened to you?!" They went on to explain me that the royals are genuinely down to earth people, respectful of others. The reason they want Hamdan to marry me is because they want someone who isn't stuck-up or would marry for money and also Hamdan likes me. Why why why me I didn't want to marry him. I could already imagine the drawbacks of marrying a prince. Ok so these people were safe according to my parents. So far ya they seemed alright.
As I was day dreaming, my phone rings and it is from the reception about the next patient. So I quickly compose myself and begin browsing something on PC. From the corner of my eye I see 2 men enter and one of them take a seat... I turn towards them....holy shit
"Assalamualaikum Dr. Syed." Hamdan greeted her with warm smile.
Oh great not him again.
"Walaikumassalam your Royal Highness." I give a tight lipped smile. "How may I help you? I hope your health is fine sir?"
"Oh no doctor I'm perfectly alright thank you, I just came here to talk to you." He replied with such confidence which is beginning to irritate me and even more because of that smile which knew I was getting agitated.
"Yes your Highness what is it that you wanted to talk to me?"
"Just regular chit chat. So how have you been Aairah?"
Wow, so now it's first name basis huh?
"I'm good sir, but this is my work place and I don't indulge in personal engagements here."
"Alright then name a place where we shall meet?"
Excuse me say what!?! This one sentence led to a pretty long conversation.
" I know you...you won't give up so easily will you?" My irritation going up by the minute...although he looks strikingly handsome with that devilish smile and don't talk about the eyes oh lord.
"Look I'm not interested in you. You are a nice guy but I don't want to be a prince's wife. Can you imagine how terrifying it is?!? There is no freedom to be yourself or dress up in slacks and be lazy or...."
"Look Aairah it's not terrifying unless you have the help...ok...fine not as a date but just a friendly meeting...will that be ok. You can dressup however you do when you go out."
With an exasperated sigh I give in "Ok...alright then meet me at the Cheesecake Factory, the Walk,Jumeirah beach residence. 8pm but I might be late coz of traffic."
"Cheesecake factory it is then, see you there...by the way.."
He stopped at the door just about to leave. I stand to wish him goodbye.
"You look beautiful when you are nervous."
What the fu...I blush furiously staring right back at him.
"Especially when you blush like that." He said with a smile and with a wink he left my cabin.
What the bloody hell he just friggin winked at me. A WINK!!!!"
