it was not love at first sight. nor was it hate. jongin just never acknowledged oh sehun. he did not see the need to. why put in the effort to get to know someone when in the end, you are just going to leave the face of the earth god knows when? there was no point.
nothing about oh sehun seemed out of the ordinary. his undeniably plain clothes, his contradicting bold blonde hair, his stoic walk. nothing was strong enough to drive him to get to know him. you would think that being neighbours and seeing him every single morning would change that but it did not.
some people cross your path and
change your whole direction.the occasional stares at the house of the other were the only form of interaction they ever shared. four months passed and neither party bothered to even learn the other's name. the only thing he knew about sehun was that he was lonely. he never saw a single soul enter his house apart from himself. not that he had any right to comment on that because jongin was no better. his foster parents were the only friends he ever needed. they taught him what it is to be loved and that was more than enough for him. but now without them by his side, he felt lost. he felt meaningless. maybe they were all he would ever be blessed with and now there was no going back.
however, he could not help but wonder that oh sehun was his loophole. in the recent days, the said boy's milky white skin seemed more and more fictitious, getting increasingly pale by the day and his lips were drained of their colour. not that it worried him. this sight almost made him approach oh sehun until he realised there was no point in doing so. why should he care?
if you have the courage to
make it through a lonely night
with nothing but
your self-destructive thoughts
to keep you company, then baby, you have
the courage to make it
through anything.but then, something changed. the first words exchanged were 'sorry' and 'watch where you are going'. he did not mean to come off as rude to sehun but he found no reason to be nice to a stranger,
until he looked up at the skinny boy.
if i could go back
to the day we met,
i am sorry,
but i would turn around
and walk the other waybecause i still beat myself up to this day
for ruining something so pure.their eyes met, and in an instant, with an inexplicable, only half conscious rush of emotion, they were in perfect communication.
it was the first time they had shared eye contact, let alone any form of interaction. he had never actually seen oh sehun up close but he did not seem to mind it.
i could not tell you
if i loved you the first moment i saw you,
or if it was the second or third or fourth.but i remember the first moment
i looked at you walking toward me
and realised that somehow
the rest of the world seemed to vanish
when you were beside me.there was something in his eyes that screamed sincerity. his brown orbs seemed to captivate his own, revealing every secret he ever had and for a moment, he felt naked, exposed. he forgot his problems, he worries and even his name. the only thing he knew was that he never wanted to stop.
