JESSICA'S POV
I Am Starving. That's all my silly brain can think of now but my heart doesn't care.
Its been two days since Jerry passed out and its starting to freak me out. I've been with him these days and only leave when I want to get food or go home or attend lectures.I alerted his home immediately I brought him to the school's medical center on Wednesday. The staffs here say he's getting better and though that is hopeful, I haven't seen him move.
Nobody in the department knows about his state except Clara who practically forced it out of me. Let's just say I couldn't believe that my best friend even knew he existed.
She just approached me yesterday before classes and asked me if I had seen Jeremiah. I could swear she had something up her sleeve, like she knew something.
Whatever, I was actually glad to see someone care to know about Jerry."How's he doing" I hear someone ask me. A guy.
I look up and am just sure I haven't seen him around since. Who is he?
"Sorry, Joy over there" he points to Jerry's little sister who is just standing there with her mother, he turned to look at me "told me you have been here since Wednesday and that you were the one that alerted them".
I just gaze at the person in front of me. He looks like an older version of Jerry and I can't find words to describe the handsomeness of the young man. He is fair, complexion wise, and his stubbles are smooth. I want to feel those. From the looks of it, I can tell he either works out a lot or is an athlete, whichever one, his muscles are well toned and the skin tight top he's wearing is not helping matters here. Is that six packs. I can't make that out because of the clothes, but this guy is 'Hot'. No offense, Jerry.
"Hello there?" He gives me a questioning look as I stop checking him out. Great, now he's wearing a smirk. Boys.
"Hi". What is wrong with me. Why can't I just make a full sentence nowadays.
He raises his eyebrows as he extends his hands. "Am Kenneth, Jeremiah's uncle". Okay! From his maternal side I guess.
I shake his hands and say nothing. I mean, what should I say. That am Jerry's friend? Its not official, yet. And I just can't find the nerve to tell him my name. Hopeless.
"So, how is Jerry doing" I think am beginning to either bore him or freak him out.
"Fine, I guess" finally a sentence.
"Okay, are you friends of his or what?"
"Just a course mate"
"Nice to know. And nice meeting you," he quirks his eyebrow while dragging the sentence. That's my cue to say my name. Oh!
"Jessica" Cue the unfathomable blushing. Seriously.
Just then, a nurse came out from the room and walks towards me. Since I brought Jerry here, I had signed whatever it was they told me to sign with my name and even after I had informed and announced his parents, they still talked to me directly. Unless I wasn't around, of course.
I look up and see Jerry's mum walking over with Joy besides her. Doesn't she have to be in school or something."He's getting better now, you can go see him..." That's all I needed to hear, everything else she said was a blur.
I run, more like speed walk to his ward, then slowly head to his bed. I see him, eyes open, looking at me. He's not looking good.
"Chibu!" Huh?
His mummy walks past me and sits down on his bed and Joy almost jumped on him. That girl is ridiculous though am still slightly scared of her. Who wouldn't be?
