Ugh, I can't think! What do I do?

"Okay Kat, now when you get in there... someone's coming, stay silent."

A doctor stopped Sara in her tracks.

"Excuse me, who are you?"

Sara showed the man her card. The man then moved aside, sending Sara on her way.

"Thank you." Sara said, smiling.

"Kat, are you alright?" Sara whispered.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I- I'm fine."

The cart started moving again, and quick. Sara told me that my dad's room was not far from where we were at and it would take about five minutes to get there. From how fast we were going, it was hard for me to believe her. I peered through the cover every so often to see where we were. I felt Sara slow the cart down and pulled the cover aside. We stopped at his room. I looked through the window and saw my dad lying on a cot.

"We're here honey, you can get out of the cart now."

"Is he...?" I said, close to tears.

"No." Sara said with a comforting smile. She grabbed my hands softly and pulled me up. I gave a soft sigh of relief. I climbed back into the cart as the doctors left. I walked inside, Sara right behind me, and fell to my father's side.

"Daddy?" I said, fighting my tears. He opened his eyes and grabbed my hand.

"I'm sorry Kitty Kat."

"It's all my fault, I'm so sorry."

"It was not your fault sweetie, I just heard that a man locked you inside of his car and kidnapped you."

"Oh daddy, he didn't kidnap me. I went with him because I could not stand mother literally beating my best out of me."

"Oh, well then we need to talk to your mother right away, now don't we?" He said, smiling.

I could not stop smiling, no matter how hard I tried. He approved.

Sara went out into the hallway and asked the nurse up front when my father was going to be let out and the nurse said by the next morning.

"Kat, your father is being released in the morning." Sara said, smiling.

"Thank you Mrs. Shiba."

The next day, I woke up in the hospital room next to my father.

Oops. I should probably get out before.. Too late.

The doctors walked inside. I pretended to be asleep, and someone picked me up and carried me out of the room. It was very sweet because I could barely walk anyways. They set me down in a chair and sat next to me. I was waiting for them to leave for almost ten minutes. They just sat there and stared at me.

Should I open my eyes?

The person whispered in my ear.

"I know you're awake."

Dang it.

I opened my eyes to see a young man-probably my age-looking at me, smirking.

"What gave it away?"

"Well, you aren't that great at acting."

I looked up at him, irritated, but also slightly amused.

"Hi, my name is Mason, Mason Summers," He said, extending his hand.

I ignored it and turned my face away.

"Okay, okay." He said, still smirking.

"You going to tell my your name or am I going to have to torture you."
