Me and Allura spent most of Sunday just hanging out. I had a couple coughing fits here and there but nothing to major. Coran and Alfor watched some sport on Tv I've never heard of, and Coran made some gross green slime for dinner. I politely declined and stuck with my candy. Me and Allura made a pallet in her living room and she played some movie called 'A Dogs Purpose'. We cried, did some face masks, and fell asleep.

I woke up to the sound of Coran humming loudly in the kitchen reading some newspaper. Allura leaned over me with a bright smile.

"Morning sleepy head. Happy spring break. Now up and get dressed, I get my very first pet today! We're going to go here in about 15 minutes, I've already got some clothes you can wear picked out." The early bird talked on in her heavy accent. I squinted my eyes as my morning brain tried to process everything she was saying. Either way I got the gist and got up stretching. I slipped on some skinny jeans and a long black sleeved shirt that said 'astro-not my fucking problem' in white letters. Alluras dad made some actually edible for breakfast which I was extremely thankful for.

"Come on children you're ready correct?" Coran said twirling his mustache smiling.

"Yes! Ooh I'm very excited!" Allura said jumping out of her seat and pulling her hair into a long ponytail. I put my plate in the sink and me, Coran, and Allura all got in his bright orange jeep.

"Will father not be joining us?" Allura asked buckling her seatbelt. Me and Coran did the same as he responded.
"I'm afraid not, he's going down to the office to finish up some paperwork." Allura was a bit bummed but it didn't seem to change her excitement.

We arrived at the pet shop, a place called 'Luxia's Animal and supply store'. As we entered I saw the owner Luxia behind the counter writing something on her clipboard. She was a tall, gorgeous woman. Her waist length hair was dyed sea foam green with a strip of purple and she had it in pigtails. She wore a black sweater dress, and a golden necklace.

She looked up and greeted us kindly. Allura dragged me around the store until a specific area caught her eye. She approached a cage with four mice. Her eyes sparkled and she grinned from ear to ear.

"You can't be serious." I said in disbelief. She snapped her head towards me and rolled her eyes.

"Dead serious." She refocused her attention on the mice, reaching her hand down to pet them. They gladly accepted her offer and all rushed towards her hand. She giggled and called Coran over.

"Yes princess?" He greeted his niece using her well known nickname.

"I want them." She smiled hopefully, intertwining her fingers and begging.

"Well if it's what you truly desire, then I agree." She squealed and hugged him tightly, thanking him with extreme gratitude. We picked out a large cage with many tunnels, food, toys, wheels, and treats, for the mice and paid at the front. Those little mice are gonna be lucky to have a mom like Allura.

When we were all back in the car Allura held all four of the sleeping rodents in her lap.

"So what are you gonna name them?" I asked her.

"Well the big one is Platt, the smallest one Chulatt, the one with red eyes is Plachu, and I think I'm gonna name the pinkish one Chuchule." I looked at her questioningly.
