Chapter 8

AT THE FRANKENSTEIN CASTLE....

"MICHAEL!! COME BACK!! MICHAEL!!"

Doctor Frankenstein was besides himself. Two years he's worked

with Michael made him as human as he could. Michael realized he

was the product of seven men and that is what enraged him beyond

control. "Igor! We must find him or the towns people will destroy

him! I can't let that happen!" "Yes Master!!" Both Igor and the

doctor ran out into the stormy night. The rain was so thick it

was like a sheet. They couldn't really see where they were going

all they knew for sure is that Michael had ran into the thick

woods between the castle and several villages including the village

cemetery where they found his fresh corpse almost three years ago.

Doctor Frankenstein named him Michael because he wanted to be

called Michael. Igor discovered that his name at once time had been

Michael. Michael Jackson. So it was only right to keep the name.

But now, to the villagers, he's just a creature and they will fear

him, hunt him and kill him if Doctor Frankenstein and Igor don't

save him.

Michael hid in the thick trees. He heard Doctor Frankenstein

and Igor calling for him. He seen the torches but no way was

he going to go back to that castle. Back to that nightmare.

Now that he had most of his own memories back he intended to

find Eva Marie and set it right. Maybe have his second chance

at love. At happiness. Would she love the man he is now? This

monstrous shell? This worried him but his love for her over-

shone his fear and worry. When the rain stopped he'd go. Mich-

ael would go looking for Eva Marie. He thought how beautiful

she once was. How happy they once were. Maybe they would be

again.

IN HAMSTEAD...

A crowd of villagers gathered in front of the constables

office. Their torches burned hot and bright despite the

heavy rain storm above. "He's loose! The monster is loose!"

"KILL THE MONSTER!!" "KILL FRANKENSTEIN!!" Were shouts

that echoed from many of the villagers. The constable

tried to quiet the rioters but knew it was a lost cause

so instead he divided them up into groups to scour the

hills of the mountains around Frankenstein castle. Find

the creature and kill him.

Doctor Frankenstein had no idea what was about to happen.

He searched and searched with Igor and found nothing.

Michael found himself the perfect covering from the storms

wrath and Doctor Frankenstein. He heard the villagers as

they came through the woods but he bowed his head, closed

his eyes making him invisible in the darkness they passed

right on passed him. Michael fell asleep with visions of

Eva Marie in his head. The love that once was he believed

would set him free.

Ralph was getting ready to leave on his business trip as he

told Magdalena he had to go on. They were spending a loving

night together making love and enjoying the moments together

that were coming to an end rapidly for the moment. "Ralph,

my love?" "Yes my darling Maggie!" This made both chuckle

gleefully. "I'm pregnant."

THE NEXT DAY....

The towns people still roamed the hills and had found nothing.

Michael stayed within the safety of the rock shelter he'd found

until he was very sure that it was safe. Michael was hungry

but didn't dare venture out yet. The hills were slippery and

muddy from the torentual rain storm of the night before.

Doctor Frankenstein and Igor had gone back to the castle. They

knew that they had to hide and destroy all traces of the Doc-

tors creation. He's wait awhile and then begin his experiments

again now that he knew how to build a new life. A human life

he'd do it again. Maybe this time with a female human cadaver.

The towns people gathered in town square again and made plans to

go after the source. They realized that enough was enough. If they

were to ever have peace of mind and safety for their families to

live without fear the good doctor was going to have to either be

arrested or die. Constable fritzhelm lead the brigade up the hill

towards Castle Frankenstein.

"MASTER!! MASTER!! QUICK!! THE VILLAGERS!! THEY ARE COMING!!"

Igor shouted. Doctor Frankenstein went to the windows of the

castle and gazed below. He seen the angry mob and knew his time

was at an end unless he could flee. Racing around the room. "Get

packed quick Igor! We're leaving! We can always come back secretly

later! Come!!" The doctor continued to pack his things he'd need

for awhile. Grabbing important papers and things from the lab too.
