Theodore.
Past.
I dug my hands deep into my black trouser pockets as I leaned against the fence waiting for the others to come out of class.
"What you saying? Do you want the kit kat chunky or galaxy?"
My head turned to Tayo was next to me. He was holding his Just Do It bag up to his chest as his hand fumbled around the numerous chocolate bars inside that he was shotting.
The boy he was selling to took out some coins from his pocket, "The galaxy still."
Tayo pulled the chocolate bar out and handed it over to the boy. The boy took it and placed a 50p coin in his hand before bopping off.
"Man's making that P." Tayo zipped up his bag and flung it over his shoulders before counting all the coins in his palm.
I shook my head smiling. This boy was known for having snacks no matter what time of day it was. He was making a mini business for himself.
"Them lot are taking long man." I licked my lips, pulling my blackberry out from my pockets. I checked messenger to see that Tia still hadn't replied to my ping. I kissed my teeth and watched the boys in the year above playing football on the field. School had finished and me, Josh and Mario needed to be somewhere.
I noticed a few girls in year 11 walk passed ready to watch the match. They all stared at me, giggling and whispering. I smiled at them and nodded my head. The giggling increased.
"Hi, Theo." One mixed raced one was brave enough to say.
She was the prettiest girl in year 11 and despite the fact that I was only in year 10, I knew that she was on me. I always caught her staring at me and doing the most when she knew she had my attention. I didn't miss the dirty looks she gave Tia either.
"You alright?"
"Yeah, you staying for the game?" she stopped in front of me. Her friends stayed back and watched us talk. My eyes dropped down to her school blouse which had a few too many buttons undone, exposing a little of her bra. Her tie hung loosely around her neck and her grey school skirt was short. I looked back up to her eyes to see her watching me intently.
"Nah, I got some things to do."
She pouted before nodding. "Okay. See you at school tomorrow then cutie." She threw her arms around my neck and all her friends started grinning hard. I hugged her back, throwing an arm around her waist before we both pulled away.
"Later."
"Bye, Charlene." Tayo smiled at her, licking his lips.
She gave him a small smile and wave before walking off with her friends. When she was gone he turned to me scowling.
"I swear all the girls in the year above are on your d*ck fam. Some any pretty boy."
I kissed my teeth. "Whatever."
I looked up to the school doors to see them open and Tia and Rochelle step out. I watched her as she listened absentmindedly to Rochelle saying something to her, whilst concentrating on her phone. Her eyebrows were furrowed as she read over something before quickly typing back. Rochelle looked up and spotted me and Tayo before grabbing Tia's arm and steering her in our direction. I leaned off the fence and met them halfway. Tia still hadn't looked up and was still watching her phone intently.
"Hey guys." Rochelle chirped.
"What's good." Tayo replied.
Tia finally looked up and put her phone in her blazer pocket. Her hazel orbs locked with mine and she smiled softly walking up to me.
