Chapter 5

 CHASE…

  I got home by seven. I was exhausted and I went straight into my room. I still had a lot of work to do, so as soon as I changed into something more comfortable, I started working with my laptop.

 A little while into working; I started recalling everything that had happened earlier today. A smile made its way to my lips.

 I recalled the look on her face when she had opened the door and had seen Mrs. Cane and I. She had looked shocked. Not scared… shocked.

 She was the wittiest lady I had ever met and damn was she the prettiest. When I looked up and saw her staring at me; I had nearly lost it.

  Her hair was packed very loosely, a few strands falling down her face, she hadn’t worn any make up and she was dressed very casually and yet, I still found her look very intriguing.

 She had very attractive eyes. They were a breath taking shade of brown. Yet, they were mostly reserved; they had a great amount of distrust in them… like she had gone through some not very lovely experiences.

 I shook my head. I was losing it; seriously? You’re analyzing her eyes .i scowled, the voice in my head was right. I was seriously becoming too much of a softie.

But she was a very amusing lady. No one could deny that.

 At this point; it was more than evident that I wasn’t going to be able anything with the laptop, so I stood up and walked over to the large balcony that was shielded with glass and looked out.

The world looks beautiful this night.

 My phone rang, I picked it up, ‘ChayChay!!!’, I smiled, it was Lauren. ‘Hey Lo, how have you been?’ she laughed, one of those rippling laughter that could melt hearts.

 ‘I’ve been great! I received the suit, it’s wonderful. I’ve decided to wear it for the seminar I’m giving on Monday. I’m a little nervous about it, but I know at least, I’ll be looking stunning thanks to you, how ever where you able to pick the suit?’ I recalled how that had happened and laughed, ‘it’s a really long story, you sure you want to hear it?’ but then I already knew her answer to that.

 ‘Of course I do, shoot!’, I laughed and narrated everything to her. She kept laughing between intervals, ‘Oh my glitters, that so cool, she seems like a fun person. Have you seen her since then?’ I laughed, ‘Glitters, seriously? And actually yes, I have’, ‘what? I like glitters and where?’

 I smiled, ‘guess’, ‘umm… at a park? ... On a pathway? ... another mall? ...’ she went on listing, all to which my answers were no, till she finally said, ‘I give up! Where else? Your office?’ I laughed, ‘actually yeah’.

 There was silence at the other end for like two seconds, ‘wait I don’t get, she came to invest at Glamz? I laughed again, ‘she’s my PA’, ‘OMG!’ She squealed, ‘That’s Cray, how did that happen?’ I shrugged, ‘Beats me. My best guess is fate’.

 She laughed again, ‘So tell me, have you guys had any moments yet?’ Memories of earlier today flooded into my head, I recalled the tie incident, That wasn’t exactly a moment now, was it?

 ‘Awwn Lolo, you are not jealous now are you? You know I’ll only have moments with you’ she laughed; ‘Yeah right’ I could imagine her rolling her eyes. ‘I have to go now Chay, I’ll talk to you later, something just came up’, she said, ‘Anything to worry about?’ I asked her, ‘Nope, nightie’ I smiled, ‘night’ and she hung up.
