She was wearing all army clothes
Farah didn't care
At least she could blend in.
She looked at the calendar
The 24th of February 2017
She couldn't believe how long she'd been there for.
Farah found a bag
and put a large amount of food and water in there,
and a map.
She started following the road
mindlessly walking.
After a few hours, she came across a house
Knowing she had nothing too loose
She walked inside and called out.
There was no one there.
Farah decided to call it home.
SILENCE
Farah had been in the house for 5 months,
She was starting to get nervous
Every day for the past month
There has been endless gun shots and bombs.
One day everything stopped,
Farah couldn't hear anything.
She decided that she would head into Mosul,
To see why everything stopped
She knew it was a stupid idea but she really couldn't care less.
She looked at her map
Mosul was only 10 short kilometres away
She could make that in a day easily.
She packed her bag
Bringing with her a sufficient amount of food and water,
Just in case anything went wrong.
She started the 10-kilometre trek
Through silence.
