She slowly regained consciousness,
Still under the pile of rubble.
Farah was sore all over,
She felt her leg
It was definitely broken.
Farah didn't know how she survived,
She knew that was meant to kill her.
She was slowly losing breathe,
Air wheezing out of her chest
She heard voices and cheers
She tried to scream but
Nothing but a muffled groan came out.
She heard footsteps nearing,
Weight was lifted of her head
She looked up with all her remaining energy.
There was a man in army clothes,
It wasn't like the ISIS uniform
It was cleaner than theirs.
There also appeared to be a flag on his shoulder,
It looked like the Australian flag.
Farah was freed thanks too that man,
She read his name tag
Sergeant Jameson Cook
Sniper in the Australian army.
Little did Farah Abadi know
Jameson Cook was going to change
her life in more than one way.
