Will POV

"ok" Nico said slipping into unconsciousness

I walked down the street, him still in my arms, towards a small apartment complex. I walked through the door to see one of my older friends who works here and mouthed to her to help me.

"Hey Will, what's going on?" She whispered 

"Sorry, Lydia this is Nico my soulmate. He got beat up at school for being gay and I need to take care of him, can you get a heavy duty medkit up to my room?" I say, panic growing in my strained voice.

She nodded, her brown curly hair bobbing, and she left to find the medkit. I got to the elevator and pressed the button to my floor and waited. Just before the doors closed I saw a group of say, 8 people rushing through the front doors, being led by a short, darker skinned, curly haired girl wearing a purple shirt and a grey sweater. She had a look of panic in her eyes that flicked around the room, terrified, before they locked with mine and she yelled

"Wait, sto-" 

Before the doors closed and we started going up. Nico snorted very faintly, as if he was stirring, before turning his head and nuzzled into my chest.

I blushed the lightest shade of red as the elevator doors opened.

I opened my apartment room door, to see Lydia already in there with the emergency kit, preparing an area on the couch for Nico. I walked over and set him down as gently as I could. I thanked Lydia, and she left, still having her own duties to attend to. When I turned to look at Nico he was whimpering in his sleep and tossing and turning. I walked over to the couch and crouched down. I held his hand that was hanging over the edge of the couch and kissed the back of it.

" Shhhhhh, it's okay" I whispered

He stopped whimpering and fidgeting. He laid perfectly still, so I got my phone and started taking pictures of his wounds. I took a picture of his eye, his bloody lip, a few scrapes on his legs and elbow, and a big bruise and some long gashes on his stomach. He was in rough shape, I bandaged the cuts, put some gauze on his lip, put some ice on his eye and put on an antiseptic lotion and wrapped his stomach.  He was stirring when I finished wrapping his stomach so I went to get some tylenol. I walked into the kitchen and looked through my cupboards when I heard

"Ugghhhh, Willlllllllllllll" Nico's weak voice whined

I grabbed the bottle of tylenol and some water and went back into the living room. He was sprawled out all over the couch, trying to get up. 

"No no, stay lying down, they roughed ya up pretty good." I said putting a hand on his chest and lightly pushing him back down

"Beat up by..g-girls in heels" He stuttered, his headache getting to him.

"Here, take some tylenol" I said handing him a pill and a glass of water

" Thanks" He said and gulped it back

*knock knock* 

I got up from my place on the floor next to Nico and went to answer the door. Gods I hoped it wasn't mom.  I opened the door to see the same 8 people I saw downstairs, running into the building, beat red and out of breath.

"Can I help you?" I asked, raising my eyebrow

"My....Big.....Brother...." The girl in the front said

"Nico?" I asked, noticing their difference in complexion

"H..Half siblings, Is he okay I heard someone say e got roughed up and some random blonde stopped it and brought him here, then I saw you and him bloody, and, and" She rambled

"Okay, okay, calm down so you're his sister, I'm assuming these are either your friends, his or both." I pointed at everyone else who nodded

"And hi, I'm Will, his soulmate"
