With a catlike grace a small pair of boots daintily walked towards them, silent as they carried the cloaked figure. Crimson eyes peeked from under the hood and gleamed with a mirth that made Hinata slightly uneasy.
"It's been a while, hasn't it?" her voice was sultry and laced with mockery as it spilled out of her full red lips. Her long lashes lowered as she surveyed the group. "You haven't changed a bit, nya."
While her stance was relaxed, almost as careless like a beginning Genin's, the aura she emitted suggested she was anything but weak. She was either dangerously smart, deceivingly strong, or even a mix of both. She didn't appear to be their enemy if Hime's carefree attitude towards her had anything to say about it. In fact, she looked a lot like Hime, but Hinata didn't dare comment on it. Saying anything about that felt taboo for some reason. They may get that a lot if they aren't actually related in the first place.
Maybe Hinata shouldn't have so much trust in one person... Those things never seem to turn out well in retrospect. Hindsight is 20/20 after all, but she couldn't go against her family's traditions.
"It certainly has." Hime managed to take one step closer before a flurry of feathers brushed past and tackled the figure. "And I could say the same thing to you except..."
"Big sister!" Tomo cried happily. "It's been so long!"
The figure, Hime's near identical doppelganger, looked down with disapproving red eyes as her arm moved to her back. Quickly, she produced a kunai and stabbed Tomo right where her heart laid.
"What the hell?!" Naruto exclaimed. Next to him Sakura gasped and brought her hands up to her face as she paled, and Sasuke's expression darkened. Kuro's was unreadable, and Hime's...
Well, Hinata couldn't see hers.
"Oh my god..." Sakura murmured, taking a step back. She shuddered before taking a breath and schooling her expression into a hard one.
"That's a little harsh, isn't it?" Hime commented as if she were commenting on the price of tea.
"Please, you knew this had to and was going to happen. Her girlfriend's long dead and she should have been too. There was no use in making her suffer." the girl placed a hand on her hip as she let the body fall to the floor. "A pity. I actually liked her."
Hinata felt her heart drop along with the body when she saw Tomo's eyes, still open and once such a beautiful vibrant blue, now dull and lifeless, and staring out into nothing. A smile was still on her face, but it was quickly forming into one more neutral with her new position.
"That's ironic." Hime snorted. "Then I guess I don't need to say anything else, huh?"
"You really are insane." the girl sighed and shook her head almost fondly, mockingly. "Insane and sadistic. C'mon boy, you know what's up." she gestured towards Kuro.
"Princess..." He looked longingly as Hime, but after a few moments he seemed to resign and began to walk up.
"Wait wait wait, what the hell is going on?!" Naruto interrupted.
"Yeah, I'd like to know the answer to that too!" Sakura spoke up, glaring, only faltering as she saw Kuro's expression. Hinata got in a stance ready to attack.
"You will pretend you saw nothing." Hime's change of tone stopped them in their tracks. Her voice held power and a seriousness that left Hinata afraid to know what may happen if she dared disobeyed.
