"I just can't escape
It's like you're here with me now
But the words you say
They always seem to fade out
Since you been away
I'm just a face in the crowd
Someday, Someday
I know you're coming back-" The gentle lyrics that flowed through the air stopped, the gentle swishing of wind and soft humming of bees taking over almost quietly.
"K, come here." A masked man ordered, facing the direction of the young woman who sat making flower pendants in a middle of a field.
The woman now dubbed as K looked up. Red catlike eyes, dull and empty, peered from under her uneven bangs . Her dark furlike hair was ruffled up in a pretty type of mess, and flowed well past her shoulders and shifted as she turned, making her hands push it out of the way as she did so. She glanced up at who had called her, and after a second a smile forced its way to her face as a shine appeared in her eyes. Her tail raised up excitedly as her catlike ears perked up.
"Master!" She cried excitedly, jumping up and abandoning her pendants and other tools, knickknacks, and et cetera that were sprawled everywhere.
"Why?" She froze midstep as his question reached her sensitive ears. But she didn't keep still for long.
"Why whatever do you mean Nya~?" She asked, pouncing on the man who made no effort to stop her or shove her off when they fell to the ground.
"I've been waiting furever for you Nya~" She giggled at her own small pun. Glancing down, she started to move a hand to remove his mask.
"How about a little fun~?" She looked down at the now unmasked face, a slight blush rising up as she saw his face. Oh no matter how many times she saw his face she felt like she could never get enough of it. But oh, it was the eyes that her own were so fixated on. Eyes full of resentment, hate, love, anger, obsession, it excited her so much.
The man under her sighed, closing his eyes and turning away slightly irritated. "Fine, go get it." He grumbled in defeat.
"Yay~" K cried happily, getting off him and running off to get something, oblivious to the man glaring at her back.
"Leader-" "What is it?" The unmasked man interrupted the other man who had come running after him. He mentally grumbled as he went to grab his mask. Only K had seen his face ever since the thing happened.
"It's about Hira, she's not getting any better. The docter said she may only have two months left at best if one of her attacks doesn't happen.." The man trailed off, as if wanting to say more. "Anything else Den?" The man asked the man now dubbed as Den. Den hesitated. "W-Well, I a-and the others were thinking that if you had Lady K take a look at her-"
"Shut up or I'll kill you." The man interrupted Den, making sure his mask was secure before turning around.
Den stayed quiet, looking a bit scared but also a bit pissed off as he looked at the man before him who was also stronger. How did someone like him have so much power over someone who was older? Nevertheless he held his tongue.
"Leave." And in the next moment Den was gone, almost as if he wasn't there is the first place. Almost.
"Aw, I just missed Den-Chan didn't I?" K jumped back to where the man waited, sniffing the air with a pout.
The simply man looked at her, thoughts rushing through his head.
'You can't do anything by yourself can you Nya~?' K's words from the past echoed in his head, only weeks before he had relied on her for every single thing, now he was determined he could do things on his own, and he certainly didn't need help with the situation with Hira.
"-ey, hey are you paying attention Nya?"
"H-hm?"
"You've been like that for five minutes, whatever come on~" K handed a string on a stick to him and grinned as she let herself fall onto the ground. The man simply glared at her as she closed her eyes and squealed in delight as she hit the ball at the end of the string.
'I only have to endure this for just a little while longer. I'll have my Hinata-Hime at my side and we'll kill K... Just wait for me my princess, I'll be there for you soon.' The man thought.

"A... Achoo!" Hinata sniffled, grabbing a tissue from her pocket. Kiba looked at her in surprise.
"I thought your cold was gone."
Hinata shook her head, "I-It is, don't worry." She smiled up at him. Kiba grinned.
"That's good to hear. How's Hanabi?" Kiba asked. Hinata's smile faltered.
"Still the same. She keeps insisting there's nothing but.." The bluenette glanced down, a downcast look taking over her face and her stutter disappearing.
"Anyways, we have a mission now, Shino is probably waiting for us.." Kiba sweatdropped, regretting he had asked Hinata that question.
Hinata nodded, not really paying attention anymore.
"You know, these past days your stuttering has been getting better. Is Sasuke the reason?" Kiba spat out the Uchiha's name, not really liking the face that his old teammate and friend was dating a guy he loathed.
A near unnoticeable blush rose in Hinata's pale cheeks as she looked away.
"Sasuke-Kun? I.. I don't know." Hinata hesitated, no longer really sure what she thought about him. When she got sick she went to a sort of drunken state, where her brain couldn't really remember anything. But as she got better and came back in a more sober state a new feeling arose in her, tiny but still noticeable.
"What do you mean you don't know? You're dating the guy for Pete's sake! You're dating him for a reason like you have feelings for him right? Wait... Why do you like him?" Kiba rambled on, shooting question after question.
Hinata glanced at her friend, whom she had been keeping in the dark. Of course, nobody knew the truth, it wasn't announced yet and she hadn't known whether to tell anyone else about it. There were certainly factors to consider if she let the cat out of the bag too early.
"Well, h-he's nice.." Hinata began, trying to recall all of the Uchiha's redeeming qualities. "He's thoughtful and tries to think things through. He can be childish at times, but he means well. He can be a bit awkward at times and isn't quite sure how to get along with others. A bit bashful, but not exactly modest all the time.." Hinata smiled, looking at nothing.
"Mm.." Kiba looked at his friend warily then sighed. "Gah, how about we get something to eat." Kiba growled, irritated as he thought Hinata had also somehow become hopelessly smitten with the bastard.
"Huh? Okay." Hinata looked at Kiba a bit surprised as she followed him.

"Where are those two?" Shino deadpanned, standing by the village gates, hours later.
