4. ABBA: Take a chance on me

The bell made me jump up immediately and sprint for the door pushing the crowd away. I was late for my work cause our Eco lecturer had to take an extra class. Fan-fucking-tastic.

My phone vibrated for the umpteenth time making me grimace. I knew it was Tristan. I had been ignoring him for days now and blaming the kiss on the heat of the moment. I had been confused on how to react to the kiss. It's not like I hated it. I mean it was really.... Wow but it was Tristan. The goofy guy I only knew for some weeks. A straight guy on top of that. So I did the thing I am really good at. Ignoring.

My eyes suddenly landed on Jenna who was kissing her new found boyfriend just some feets away. As she ended the kiss her eyes landed on me. She said something to her man and ran towards me. I stood still trying to figure inside my head what to say to her. I mean I was ignoring her too.

She folded her arms and raised her eyebrows. Standing in front of me waiting for me to speak.

"You still gonna be stubborn." She muttered.

"I-.."

"I know what kind of guy you are Ethan." She said stopping me from saying more. "You're the kind that shuts people out when they go through some problems. Thinking they wouldn't understand or whatever but you know what Ethan...you're not my friend. You are more than that..you are like my brother. Even if you act like an asshole I'll be there for you okay. So when whatever the hell is up your ass gets out call me."

I stared at her and chuckled after a while. I laughed loudly after that pulling her for hug. She hugged me back with a smile.

"I am so sorry." I whispered with my eyes closed.

"Yeah..I am.not." she replied. I smiled.

"I know."

"So Tristan called me. Apparently someone is ignoring the hell out of him." She said walking beside me.

" Yeah it's more complicated than that.." I said scratching my head.

"You what?!!" She cried out before her boyfriend, Jack stuffed her mouth with a cinnamon bun. I sighed.

"Thanks." I said to him. He smiled with a shrug. "Calm down, Jenna. We kissed. Not banged the lights out of each other."

"You could, actually." She said eating the bun.  "I knew that guy's got hots for you.You have to go out with him, Ethan."

I rolled my eyes.

"It's not that simple okay. I don't know the guy and he goofs around, how do I know he's serious about the kiss?"

"Guys don't kiss guys for just like fun." She said.

"That makes no sense!!" I shrieked.

"Babe,he needs some time before he decides what to do." Jack intervened. Jenna scoffed.

"No, he doesn't. He is just a shy fuck that's all." She said and turned to me, "Just go ask him out and fuck each other. Ethan, this is some guy you're talking about after so many years."

"Hey, I talk about guys." I said in a small voice. Jenna gave me a dead look.

"Ethan! If you don't go with Tristan, I swear to God!" She cried out making Jack stuffed another bun inside her mouth.

"You need to calm down, babe." He said. Jenna glared at him chewing on the bun.

"Jenna it's not that simple. He could have a girlfriend. He's straight remember." I said. "Anyways I gotta go. I'll see you later."
