SonAmy Boom: 5 Days

Chapter - 8

 3 days left

 Sonic POV

Eventually, I was peer-pressured into attend the game. " Tails, I really don't want to be here, right now. I'd really like to just sleep, or run, or do anything except this." I moaned to my friend. He looked back at me with an odd expression. " Sonic The Hedgehog doesn't want to be active? How are you feeling?" He now walked besides me, carefully looking me over. " I'm fine, buddy I'm just not feeling it right now."

Tails face sunk slightly at me. " Are you sure you're okay?" He asked, not even hiding his worry. I nodded, " positive". As we arrived to the beach I saw Knuckles by the net already. Sticks was on the other side, bouncing back and forth in excitement. However, I noticed a particular pink hedgehog missing.

" Where's Amy?" I though and looked around the beach. " Maybe I overstepped yesterday?" I worried and looked around. I quickly turned on my heels and begun walking back. " Where are you going?" Tails called. " He's intimidated by my strength!" Knuckles laughed out. I rolled my eyes at him. " No, I could beat you any day. I'm just going to check on Amy." He shrugged and served the ball as I ran off to Amy's home.

I came up to her door and knocked lightly. " Ames? It's me, your favorite blue hedgehog!" I knocked on the door again, still no response. " Ah, come on, Ames! I'm sorry if I...took it too far yesterday. I was just..." I sighed, looking more defeated than ever. " Amy, please open the door, we need to talk at least."

When I still didn't hear a sound, I grew angry and now banged on the door. " Amy! So help me, I'll break this door d-" I grew silent when the door slammed open due to his force.

" Uhh...Ames?" I whispered, not seeing her in the doorway or living room. Everything was eerily quiet as I steeped into the hut. "Is she not even here?" I thought in confusion. I grew embarrassed at my outburst earlier. " She's not even home. Why am I acting like such a spoiled brat?" I asked myself. I let out a sigh and rubbed my hand through my quills. I turned to leave, but was stopped when I spotted a dark figure in the door.

The sun shone behind the figure, blocking out all features and outlines of whoever it was. " Sonic! What are you doing in my house?" A familiar voice screeched at me. " Amy?" I asked. Then I became suddenly aware of what the situation aware of what the situation looked like. " I-I was looking fir you! You weren't at the game, so I-I thought I had messed up...yesterday. " I just...thought it would be wise to talk."

Everything seemed so much harder all of a sudden. No one did this to me. No one. Only Amy seemed to, and that happened more often. Sad fact is...I only now understand what these feelings are. Too bad I wouldn't be around to act upon my newfound knowledge. "What'd...you wanna talk about?" She asked as she slowly put down a jaw-string bag. "I...we're still okay, right? I know you didn't want..." I gulped. " I just don't want to hurt you."

Amy's face became sympathetic as she walked up to me. Her hands landed on my shoulders and I found myself staring into my jade eyes. " Sonic", she began. " What you did yesterday made me realize something." Amy smiled and tugged me towards her couch. We both took a seat as her hands clasped around mine.

" Tails and I have been working together on trying to figure out a cure of some kind. Or something that can at least prolong your life. I found a hieroglyph about a medicine that can cure almost anything! I just need to find the ingredients." I could hardly believe this. There was a way out of all this? I could live and still protect my friends and home? I wouldn't die?

" Sonic?" Amy's hands tightened on my own. " Are you okay?" My eyes blinked rapidly. " Y-Yeah. its just hard to actually believe."  The corners of my lips curved up in a smile. I saw in her eyes hope. Hope and love. Those green eyes were so full of those two things water began to leak from them. Amy's always emotional. I grinned at her. I let my smile broaden to the rest of my face.

I then hugged her, a tight hug, squeezing the breath out of her. " Thank you, Amy. You're the best girl a guy could ever as for." " D-Do you mean it?" Amy asked me. My eyes met hers and I leaned into her. " I mean it, I truly do". I whispered and planted my lips on her's . This time our kiss seemed better. It was excepted and we both knew where to go and plant our lips properly. It was sweet and gentle.

It's like her love flowed into my body. I don't care how cliché or weird that sounds. Its the truth and that seems to be how kissing is. Once you get it right its perfect every time. We broke apart and our words escaped our mouths for a moment. Amy gulped and hugged me tightly. She leaned completely on me now. " I won't let anything happen to you. I'll make sure you get through this."

Her statement made me laugh. " What?" She sniffed " I remember making promises like that to you not long ago." I explained. Amy seemed to think it funny too. She laughed slightly through her nose. " I love you, Sonic The Hedgehog".  " I love you, Amy Rose. I promise I wont leave you".
