SAVERAS POV
BEEEP! BEEEP! BEEEP!
I woke ip to the sound of my alarm. It read 7:01am. I turned it off and sluggishly got out of bed. Today was the first day of school. I felt like a kid going to big school even though i was 16 and pretty grown up. I chucked on a pair of small black shorts, a maroon coloured tank top, my white ankle cut converse and a black and white flannel tied around my waist. I didnt wear much make up so i didnt bother. I walked next door to find Anika still sleeping. I threw a pillow at her and she jumped up, hitting me in the face with her blanket. We both laughed and she jumped on me causing me to collapse on the floor. She honestly made me laugh. She checked the time 7:23am. "Well i need to get ready so you can wait for me downstairs" she said pushig me out her door and into the hall. My mum had already left for work. Se starts at 6 in the morning and doesnt come home till 10pm. She had left some pancakes that she must of cooked on a plate covered in aluminium foil on the counter top. I grabbed a spare plate and piled about 7 pancakes on my plate leaving the same amount on Anikas plate.
She came rushing down the stairs wearing a grey tank top, some small light blue ripped denim jeans, a pair of white high top converse and a white wooly cardigan. We had similar outfits so we kind of looked like twins. We usually always wore similar things without knowing which i thought was pretty cool. People have always mistaken us for twins but we didnt mind.
She walked over to where her plate o pancakes was sitting and somehow managed to scoff it down wuicker than i had. Anika loved food and i mean LOVED food. She eats so much food, i dont know where it all goes. Once when we were younger, maybe 6 or 7, she had 11 pieces of pizza, 3 cups of strawberry lemonade and an icypole afterwards. We were at a family dinner and my uncle was quite impressed. Im still shook now whenever we go to a restraunt she orders the biggest meal with like 5 sides and a billion drinks. Honestly this girl can eat. I turned to Anika who was now butterig some toast and pouring milk into a bowl full of cereal.
Once we finished eating, we grabbed our lunch from the fridge, some books and pens and our phones. I texted Ethan to tell him that we would meet at the end of the street in 5 mins. He immediately replied,
"Sure, Graysons just gonna grab some food. C u soon"
Anika and i quickly sprayed on some perfume and grabbed our house keys. We walked out onto our really long driveway, locking the door behind us. We walked down the path on the other side of the driveway and made our way up the street. We saw two figures in the distance and knew it was them. They called out to us waving for us to hurry up. We tried to power walk but our legs werent agreeing. We eventually caught up to them and were puffed by the time we got there. "So, how are you feeling today?" Ethan asked me. "Great, im a bit nervous but also excited" i replied. All four of us walked down a long bendy road and down a couple of other streets befre hitting the school. I took a deep breath as Anika pushed open the doors. I was definitely feeling eyes on me and i felt so nervous. I stuck close to Ethan and I think he could tell how i was feeling because he grabbed my hand and held it in his. I gasped at first but grabbed hus and held it in mine. I liked Ethan and i was so glad that we had become good friends.
We turned into an empty hall. It was 8:36am and there wasnt that many students there yet. School started at 9 so we had some time to get to know the school. I took out my schedule and looked over it. I didnt really understand it but Ethan quickly reassured me and helped me figure out what it meant. "Hey, we have the same homeroom! I can show oou where it is" he said taking my hand and leading me down the hall. I looked back just in time to see Anika and Grayson wink at me as i turned the corner.
GRAYSONS POV
I was in the hall with Anika. There was still some time before the bell went for our first period. Anika took out her schedule and we went over it together. "Looks like your stuck with me for the whole day"i said smirking a little. I saw her smile in the corner of my eye and i chuckled to myself. "What?" She said looking me dead in the eye. "Oh nothing" i replied smirking at her. I must admit, i think i have a crush on her, actually a big crush. Shes so perfect. Her eyes, lips, hair, the freckles on her cheeks, the dimples when she smiled,the way she smiled at me, the way she would light up when she saw Savera, her best friend happy. She was so kind and caring for others, she didnt need a group to fit in. She was honestly the most beautiful person i had ever come across in my life. I was snapped out of my daze when she touched my shoulder making me jump "Earth to Grayson" she said looking me in the eye. "Could you show me where our home room is" "sure" i replied. We walked down the hall and took a right turn. We arrived at our home room just as the bell rang for first period. We took our seats towards the back. We sat next to each other and soon the classroom filled up with teens all on their phones. I turned to Anika who looked really nervous. I grabbed her hand and she squeezed mine back. I whispered in her ear "dont worry, theres nothing to worry about, youll be fine" she gave me a smile and let go of her tight grip. Damn she was strong i thought as i put my hand back rubbing it soothingly. "Sorry, im just really nervous" she said. "Its all right im here i replied" she smiled at me before turning to the front where Miss Winfield stood. I could tell we were going to be best friends or good friends at least.
