Chapter 3

Anikas POV

I couldnt stop staring at Grayson. I think Savera noticed because she quickly snapped me out of my daze. He was so perfect. His jawline, hair, body, eyes, dimples, the freckle on his chin, the tampon looking earing he wore, just everything. He had a husky voice that made me shiver when he spoke and the veins in his arm peeping out. He was perfect.

They lead us to the cafeteria and showed us around. It was a big room filled with tables and chairs that had been neatly put in place. 3 women dressed in aprons and hair nets stood behind a kitchen with a buffet area in front of them. They welcomed us and showed us abit more before we left and walked down the hall, passing several classrooms. We had been given our locker number during the meeting with the principal so we decided to go look for them. Grayson read the paper "478 and 479, that's next to mine and Ethan's he said smiling happily. They showed us to our lockers before leading us to the gym. We pushed open the heavy, dark blue doors to find a huge gym area. There were 3 basketball/volleyball courts, and indoor soccer field, 2 tennis courts and a wrestling/boxing ring, and of course locker rooms. Savera and I both gasped at the size of the gym before leaving for the front office.

When we reached the office the next bell had rung so Ethanand Grayson said goodbye before heading off back to class. Savera nudged me with her shoulder, "you couldnt keep your eyes off him" "what? What r u talking about?" I say looking confused. "Dont play dumb, you were staring at Grayson for like 5 minutes" she replied. "Oh wel- i was cut off by the sound of Seraphina and Makena calling from the car parked outside. We left the school, jumped in the car and headed for our new house. We couldnt wait to see it. Apparently its huge and had a big pool in te backyard. I raced out the door, Savera close behind. We pushed open the doors to find the biggest house we have ever seen. It was massive. We ran through the house exploring every room before running out the back towards the pool. It was also huge. Our new house had 6 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, a triple garage, a big ass pool and backyard and every room had its own verandah/balcony. I ran upstairs to pick my room first. I chose the 3rd one down the hall. It was bigger than some of the other ones and had a big window with a stunning view of the pool and outdoor scenery. There was nothing in the rooms yet but i knew this one was mine. Savera made it up the stairs and walked into the room right next to mine. It was exactly the same but flipped tge opposite way. We both had our own bathroom snd verandah. We were so happy that we didnt have to share rooms anymore. We had so much space here and it felt like home.

Savera's POV

I walked into the room next to Anika's. It was beautiful. It had a view of the pool with a long verandah that stretched at least 5 metres. I also had my own bathroom that was already fully furbished and ready to go. I closed my eyes, imagining what my room would look like and how i would decorate it when Anika knocked on the door. I opened my eyes to find her standing in the doorway. "The trucks here, lets go get our stuff and stop day dreaming, you're creeping me out". I chuckled and followed her down the stairs to the door where the removalists were carrying my bed. "2nd room on the left" i said and they nodded carrying it up the stairs. We helped carry the boxes inside the house and eventually we had everything. We used to live in an apartment so we didnt have much stuff with us so when we carried our stuff to our rooms, it felt quite empty. Its not exactly how i imagined it but its a start i sigh and sit on my bed. I take out my phone. Its 4:38 pm. Im so bored right now and somehow as if she knew my mum walked in the room."Hey sav, do you like the house?" She asked sounding abit concerened. I hesitated which made her uncomfortable "I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!"I scream. She jumps up scared from the sudden noise but pulls me in a tight hug "im glad you like it, i was scared you guys wouldnt like it thats all" she says "Anika and I absolutely love it here mum, we are so happy we moved and of course that you got a job transfer" she hugs me tighter as Anika walks in and joins the hug. I honestly love them so much. They are my two favourite people in he world and i couldnt imagine a life without them. We brokethe hug off when we heard the door bell ring. We looked at each other for a second before piling downstairs.

An old lady opens the door carrying a tray of homemade cookies. "Hello, my names June, you must be the new neighbours" Makena nodded her head and invited June inside. "Sorry its a mess, we just moved in today so there is boxes everywhere" "thats alright dear" she says and smiles . "I made these cookies for you as a small welcome gift, i hope you like them" Makena takes the tray placing it on the dining table which is already in the dining room. She puts the kettle on and Anika and I introduce ourselves. I bring June her tea and we share the biscuits and talk for a while until June stands up. "Oh dear, i had better be on my way, i almost forgot my delivery is coming" We all wave goodbye as June leaves the house. "She seems like a nice lady" my mum says. We all nodd in agreement.

Anika's POV

We decided that we should meet our ther next door neighbours so we walked out the door locking the house and walked to our neighbours door. We ring the bell and the second time a boy opens it. "Grayson?"
