Chapter fourteen

"We want you to be happy"

That words kept playing inside her head even on their flight back to the Philippines.

The whole duration of their stay in Singapore seemed to be an everyday celebration for her.

At the airport they are helped by the stuff,even when they go on their flight back to the island. A chopper is waiting for them to fly them straight to the island from NAIA. Her children are still full of energy after three and a half hours flight from Singapore.

"Oh look! Look! Look!" Kairos pointing in the glass mirror of the chopper.

"Wow! It look so small from up here" Ariadna's amazement is lovely to hear.

Even Iyonna who doesn't like being in the chopper.

"Is that uncle Curtis's island,mama?" We are all looking at the nearest island where the chopper is heading down now.

"Yes,Yonna,that one,have seen that lagoon behind the island?" Three little heads nodded "that is the lagoon where we go for a picnic"

"Whoa! That is so cool mama"

"I want to be a pilot someday" Kairos in his dreamy voice "so i can fly and see many more beautiful places like that" he look at her "can I,mama?"

She smile at her son,caress his cheeks gently.

"You can be whatever you want,son" she answered lovingly,adoring how his son mind can easily divert into something else.

The last time he said he wanted to be a businessman like his uncle Curtis and uncle Geoff and his papa,too.

"Can I be a model like in the tv,mama?" Ariadna asked with curiosity in her innocent golden eyes.

"Of course,Aia" her eyes twinkle.

Her gaze move from Ariadna to Iyonna.

"How about you,Yonna,what do you want to be when you grow up,love?" Iyonna seem to be thinking deep about it.

When her eyes lift up,she turn her gaze to me with a bright smile in her face.

"I want to be a detective,mama" she frown with amazement.

"Why a detective,love?" She cannot help but ask her daughter.

Too late when she realised the why she should not have ask.

"Because... I want to find where papa is working,and then I will surprise him,I will give him lots and lots of hugs and kisses"

My shoulder fell.

"Oh yeah,once you found papa,I will fly him back home to mama,isn't that a great idea?" Kairos said like it was  going to be easy to do that.

"Or maybe when I'm grown up and famous,papa will see me at the tv and he will recognise me and then he will come to see me,isn't,mama?" Ariadna gleefully asked.

She can only nod and smile weekly in front of her children. While inside her is breaking apart for the dreams her children want to come true. And for the constant wish they wanted to be fulfil but she cannot bring herself to do for them.
