It was a rainy Friday, the kind of days that Jason liked. He woke up feeling that it was going to be a special day. The first thing he did was open his window and see if his neighbor was awake. His beautiful neighbor Alex.
Brown hair, deep brown eyes and very pale skin. He saw her everyday trough his window, but never dare to speak to her. He had notice that she didn't go out much. She only went out to go to school and to help her parents with the groceries or get the mail. He remembered how his brothers always told him that she was a vampire. He laughed with them because it almost seems true. Even without talking to her, he liked her. There were something odd and fascinating about her that made Jason like her so much.
That morning he saw something strange across his house. Alex was outside sitting in her front yard watching the raindrops. She was wearing black shorts and a black tank top, her usual set of clothes. But there was something different in her face. She was smiling. Jason almost fell of his bed when he saw that perfect white smile. He felt like all his air was taken out of his lungs. In that moment he knew that he was going to talk to her. He can't let this oportunity pass.
He ran to his closet, put on clothes and ran down stairs to his front door. Then he stopped and thought what he was going to tell her. It was going to be the first time he ever talked to her in the 5 years of being neighbors. An idea came to his mind. He knew exactly what he was going to tell her. He opened the door, took a deep breath and walked towards Alex.
"Good morning!" Jason told Alex. "Beautiful day, isn't it?"
When Jason looked at Alex he saw that she put her head down blushing. Watching this, he thought that maybe all this was a mistake.
"Oh! Sorry for intruding." He said and turned around to left. Suddenly he heard the most beautiful and soft voice.
"Don't go!" Alex said. "I'm sorry. Yes, it is a beautiful day, Jason."
He could not believe ir. She knew his name. He was silent for a moment while he recovered from the shock.
"My favorite kind of day." Jason said. "One: is Friday. Two: is raining and three: I'm talking with you."
Alex was blushing as red as a tomato and the fact that she was so pale didn't help. She was so happy. It has been almost 4 years since she wanted to talk to Jason but didn't found the courage to do it. She has notice how cute Jason was.
She liked his mop of broen curls, his dimples, freckles and perfect white smile. But she was so shy that she wasn't capable of doing it.
That morning she woke up happy because it was raining and she loves rain. That why she was sitting in her front yard catching raindrops. When she saw Jason looking at her trough his window she was more happy than ever. She had catch him looking at her through his window several times and she wished that he would talk to her. So, when she saw him running towards her house she got a giddy feeling and started blushing even before he spoke to her.
"Don't be a fool!" Alex said. "There is nothing special about talking to me."
"Oh, you don't have an idea." Jason said smiling. In that moment he knew that it was now or never. "So, I'm going to ask you something I've been wanting to ask you for a long time."
Alex was nervous and hoping that he asked her out.
"Alex Collins, will you go out on a date with me?" Jason asked with a big smile.
"Yes, Jason Bennett. I will love to go on a date with you." She answered with a bigger smile.
Right in that moment they knew this was Love at First Raindrop.
