Evie's Pov

Jane, Mal and I were still dancing when I got bumped into Mal. "M, I'm so sorry!" She smiled. "It's okay!" She said. Then, I bumped into Jane. Before I could say anything, she stopped me. "It's okay, E!" She said and smiled. I sighed in relief. I heard someone whisper in my ear.

"Hey, did you miss me?" I jumped away as soon as I recognized the voice. Jane stepped in front of me. "Get away from her, Doug!" She yelled. "Oh, shut up, Jane!" He said and slapped her. She fell to the floor hard and was unconscious. I screamed and leaned down to touch her face.

"Jane? Jane, wake up!" I said, shaking her lightly. I looked up at Doug with tears in my eyes. "You monster!" I yelled. Mal dragged me away. Doug walked up to me and Mal slowly.

"D-doug, leave us alone!" Mal stuttered. He smirked and grabbed my arm and threw me off the boat. Mal and I screamed. I heard Carlos yell. "Evie, no!" He yelled. I grabbed onto the edge of the boat holding on tight.

And suddenly, I heard Mal scream and saw her hold onto the edge of the boat. "M! Oh my god!" I said and she had tears streaming down her face and so did I. "Doug, leave them alone! They did nothing to you!" Ben yelled. "Yes, they did! Evie broke my heart and Mal encouraged her to!" Doug yelled.

"Don't worry, Ben. They won't get hurt. As long as they don't fall into the group of sharks." We heard Doug yell again. "Sharks?" Mal and I look at each other then looked down to see fins swimming around in circles. We both screamed. "Ben, Carlos, help!" I yelled. "Don't worry, baby! We got you!" I heard Carlos yell.

"You asshole!" Carlos yelled at Doug. We heard footsteps and I felt someone touch my hand. It was Doug. He slid my finger off the boat and I screamed as I fell down an inch closer to the sharks. "Doug, stop, please!" I yelled. I could feel him smirk and let both of my hands go. I screamed louder.

"E! No!" Mal yelled and I was about to fall but I felt arms grab my wrists. I saw Mal smile and I looked up to see Carlos smiling down at me. "I got you, baby. It's okay." He said calmly. I saw Mal being pulled up by Ben.

I finally got to the top of the boat. Carlos hugged me tightly. I had tears streaming down my face as I hugged him back, digging my face into his shoulder. "You're okay. I'm right here, baby. Don't cry." He whispered into my ear and had his hand on my head. "Evie!" I heard Jane yell as she ran up to me and Carlos.

"Jane! You're okay!" I yelled as she finally caught up to me and Carlos and hugged us tightly. "The most important thing is that you're okay!" She said, smiling and pulling away from the hug. I layed my head on Carlos' shoulder.

"Hey, Carlos." She said, waving. "Hey, Jane." He said, waving back. "Friends?" She asked. Carlos nodded. "Friends." He said, smiling. Then, Jane and I heard 'Havana' on. "Ooh!" We both said and giggled. Carlos held out his hand. "May I have this dance, my lady?" He asked, bowing.

I saw Ben doing the same thing with Mal. I curtsied. "Of course you may, good sir!" I smiled and grabbed his hand as we ran to the dance floor. He spun me around each step we took.

He stopped spinning me around and wrapped his arm around my waist and held my hand. I turned to Mal and she laughed. "Are you okay?" She mouthed. "Yeah." I mouthed back.

Carlos dipped me and looked me in the eyes. I giggled and he picked me back up, picking me up again and spun me around. As I looked around everyone stopped dancing and was watching us. I whispered in Carlos' ear. "Carlos, people are watching." I said and he chuckled. "It's okay. Just...follow my lead." He said and started spinning me around every step we took again and dipped me again.

He picked me back up and I smirked at him. "Ooh, I'm feeling this!" I said, smiling. "Yeah, you are!" He smiled and I chuckled.  Mal and Ben started dancing with us. We all did the tango and we switched partners.

We all switched to the partners we had originally. Mal and Ben started showing off. I smiled at Mal and she smiled back. Carlos gave me a look and I nodded. Carlos spun around and stopped to get on one knee.

I put my heel on his knee and he held his hand out. "BAM!" He said and I laughed and winked at the crowd. Mal's jaw dropped. We all sat down and talked for a while. "Wow, E! I've never seen you dance like that ever!" Lonnie said. I smiled.

"I know right?" I said and they all nodded. We all started to talk again and have fun.
