Scintilla

(n.) a tiny, brilliant flash or spark; a small thing; a barely-visible trace

"Hey, hold up." Bellamy said, waving the gun in the air. "What's the rush? You don't survive a spear through the heart." Well, he's right about that. They were walking through the forest for some time. Clarke and Wells on the front, Bellamy and Murphy in the middle and in the back a tired Willa. It was hot and Willa wasn't accustomed to it. She had already taken her jacket off, now attached around her waist, leaving her in a thin dark red shirt.

Wells and Clarke walked to the two boys with annoyance in their faces."Put the gun away, Bellamy." Wells demanded.

"Why don't you do something about it, huh?" Murphy replied. Is he trying to pick up a fight again? Willa caught up with them, pushing Murphy away from Wells and taking the gun from Bellamy, sticking it in the back of her pants. Bellamy was about to say something but Clarke interrupted him.

"Jasper screamed when they moved him. If the spear struck his heart, he'd have died instantly. It doesn't mean we have time to waste." Willa leaned against a tree, waiting for them to resolve their problems.

"As soon as you take this wristband off, we can go." Bellamy said, grabbing Clarke wrist where the wristband was placed. "You too, baby girl." He added, turning his gaze to Willa.

The youngest Kane cringed at the nickname, bad memories passing through her mind. Max used to call her that and since the beginning she never liked it. "Don't call me that." Willa said in a serious tone, making everybody look at her with a questionable look, since the girl was never serious about anything. Before someone could say anything, Willa turned her back to the group and marched away from them, trying to do something helpful like finding Jasper.

Looking for any trace that could help her find Jasper, Willa was starting to regret her decision of running away from de group. For god's sake, they were looking for a guy that had been hit with a spear in the heart. What if the same happened to her? She was alone in a forest she didn't knew, with a gun she didn't knew how to use. Willa turned her head around when she heard the sound of water running. Walking toward the sound, she came in view with a waterfall. So beautiful. Stepping the rocks, trying not to wet her boots, Willa walked carefully to the little lake to take a better look. She bent down and stuck her hand in the cold water, waving it from side to side. Suddenly a noise in the bushes startled her. Taking Bellamy's gun from her pants, Willa turned toward the sound and aim it to the intruded.

"Do you even know how to use that thing?" Willa, lowered the gun, a feeling of relief crawling through her body. Is just Bellamy. "I want my gun back."

"And here I was, thinking you were worried about me." She said, sticking the gun again in her pants, instead of giving it back to him.

The older blake walked to her, stepping in the water, not worrying about wetting his boots. "Give it back, Wilhelmina."

"It's Wil-HEL-mina." She corrected him. Bellamy ignored her, stepping closer to her, trying to take the gun from behind her. "Hey there old man. I may be flirty and you may be hot, believe me, you are." She said looking him up and down. "But what about you take me to dinner first?"

"So you can call me old man, but I can't call you baby girl?" He smirked at her, receiving the same serious look from earlier. The girl was starting to get on his nerves.  "Or does only Max can call you that?"
