(n.) regret and remorse and repentance; a state of agony and torment; or sorrow said to be "created by sudden sight of one's own misery

"You son of a bitch." Clarke shouted, shoving Murphy. Willa and Bellamy walked out of his tent, seeing a crowd forming around Murphy and Clarke. The two walked through the crowd, stopping next to Octavia.

"What's your problem?" Murphy asked, getting on Clarke's face.

"Recognize this?" She asked, showing him the knife.

Murphy looked at the knife surprised. "It's my knife. Where did you find it?"

Clarke got even more angry at his question. "Where you dropped it after you killed Wells."

"Where I what?" Murphy asked, confused and shocked with her statement. "The grounders killed Wells, not me." He said in a firm tone. Willa looked at the boy, seeing sincerity in his eyes.

"I know what you did, and you're gonna pay for it." Clarke snapped, shoving him one more time.

"Clarke stop it." Willa shouted, running toward them and getting between the two. "He said he didn't do it, so stop acting like a bitch." Clarke looked at Willa with her mouth opened in shock.

Murphy on the other hand, looked at her confused with her sudden compassion for him. "Yes that's right, I didn't do anything." He then looked at the camp leader, who had his arms crossed over his chest. "Bellamy, you really believe this crap?" Bellamy didn't answered him.

"You threatened to kill him. We all heard you." Clarke added, ignoring Willa's presence in the middle of the two. "You hated Wells."

"His father was the Chancellor that locked us up." Murphy shouted, stepping forward but Willa put her hand on his chest stopping him.

"Everybody hated Wells. If I remember correctly, you included." Willa pointed at Clarke. She was angry with the blonde and her stupid judgments.

"Shut up, Wilhelmina." She snapped. "He was the only one who got in a knife fight with him."

"You have no idea how many times I stabbed you in my head." Willa said angrily. "And what? That makes me a murdered too?"

"Get out of my way." Clarke said. "He deserves to be punished." She pointed at Murphy, who was behind Willa.

"If I wanted to killed him, I had done it when we fought. But I didn't." Murphy defended himself.

"You tried to kill Jasper too." Octavia intervened. Willa looked at the girl, giving her a 'what the hell are you doing' look and Jasper looked at her with a shocked face.

"This is ridiculous. I don't have to answer to you. I don't have to answer to anyone."

"Come again?" Bellamy asked, his leader side showing up. The crowd was watching the scene with surprise and mumbling things to each other's. Murphy tried one more time, telling that he hadn't done anything. "They found his fingers on the ground with your knife."

"Is this the kind of society that we want?" Clarke shouted to the crowd. "You say there should be no rules. Does that mean that we can kill each other without punishment?" Clarke said marching again to Murphy, but Willa stood in her way, making the blonde almost collide with her.

"Back off. The plastic melts near the heater, barbie." Willa said in a angry tone.

"I say we float him." A guy shouted, making the crowd cheer.
