(n.) finding something good without looking for it
☽
"Are you looking for something?" Bellamy asked her. Willa stood up from the floor brushing her hands over her jeans to clean the dust.
"No. I was just doing some exercise." She joked, smiling at the boy, but Bellamy just stood in the same position not showing any sign of joy. When he didn't said anything, Willa asked, "Can I help you, old man?"
"It's Bellamy." Someone didn't like the nickname.
"Oh, yeah right. Where are my manners? I'm Willa." She said sarcastically, stretching her hand for him to shake it. But he didn't.
"I know who you are." He said, with the same cold look Clarke had gave her earlier. "You're Marcus Kane daughter, one of the privileged. Just like your friends Wells and Clarke."
"Don't need to insult." Willa commented, feeling slightly offended at the reference of friends.
Bellamy took a few steps toward her, with his arms now uncrossed. "Oh, and by the way, stay away from my sister." He said, remembering Octavia saying the two girls were now friends.
Willa decided to tease him a bit, walking forward, standing right in front of him almost touching. He was taller than her, she had to lift her head a little to look him in the eyes. "Why? Do you want me close to you instead?" Bellamy didn't said anything and just looked at her with an unreadable expression. Since she had broken up with Max, she had become more strong and more confident of herself. She would never let another man raise his hand to her like he had done. Maybe that was the reason she was so sarcastic all the time. To show that she wasn't afraid or weak. In a certain way it was her defense. "I'm enough for the both."
"Do you need help taking that off?" Bellamy asked, not taking his eyes off of her. Wait, what? Is he talking about my clothes? "The wristband. Are you going to take that off or do I need to help you?" He said when he saw the confused look on Willa's face.
Willa looked at the wristband still not sure if she wanted to take it off or not. She wanted to make her father suffer a little, just like she had suffered when he floated her mother, but he was still her father after all. "I'm not taking it off. And no, I don't need your help, old man." Willa said stepping back. "Do you know what I need? Sleep. Au revoir." She walked past him toward the door, leaving Bellamy alone in the dropship, watching her disappearing.
"I'm taking that wristband Willa, even If I have to cut your hand off." He murmured to himself.
Willa's face, suddenly, appeared on the door. "Oh, and by the way, that's french for goodbye. I think, I don't know, I was pretty bad at languages." She said, disappearing again.
☾
Willa woke up with screams. She got up from behind the tree where she had slept and ran toward the sounds. In the middle of camp Wells was fighting with another guy. Murphy.
"Hey, stop it." She yelled, trying to stop the fight, but a strong hand grabbed her arm.
"Where do you think you're going?" Bellamy asked her.
