The ride was horrendously long, filled with bumpy roads and rocky trails. Every man and woman had slid into each other at least once due to the dangerously reckless driving of the driver.
Baekhyun had played with his fingers the whole way. He seen all the scenery before and wasn't in the mood to converse with his brother's who too were in a shitty mood.
When the bus pulled up at camp, Baekhyun identified the smell of horse shit and rice crackers and once again wanted to heave.
"I'm goddam exhausted" Chanyeol whined as he stumbled off the bus before Baekhyun. Baekhyun couldn't help but agree but nevertheless stare at the tall and thick shrubbery that surrounded the entire camp.
Fields and fields of tents were set up in long rows, each was the colour of the trees surrounding it. The only official structures in sight were the bathrooms and Baekhyun could already see the fussy long line that drove itself around each corner.
"I'd like to go home now" Jongin spoke as he secured his eyes on a smaller woman that had taken position in front of the group.
"Welcome Soldiers, the Queen welcomes you" The woman held a tone of authority and Jongin gaped at the beautiful woman that stared right back at him.
Sehun however stared with pure hatred at the Queen's personnel and mumbled insults under his breath. It was the look on his face that truly gave away his grudge.
"I understand that you all want to go home but to no avail you'll be here for a few months at least-"
Baekhyun's eyes trailed up to the sky and began to curse the missing stars. How badly he wanted to go home already.
"If anyone is missing let me know but you'll be sharing your tents. Pick a partner" Chanyeol's arms was immediately linked Baekhyun's while poor Jongin stood alone on the group's border.
"Kris, Tao and Luhan aren't here" Jongin spoke sheepishly, already knowing that he'd be sharing with a stranger
"Lucky you roomie" the beauty smiled.
Hence Jongin's romantic tragedy began.
