Devotion is the love, loyalty, or enthusiasm for a person, activity, or cause.
Devotion should be rewarded.
Your devotion deserves some type of an appropriate response.
Your devotion deserves devotion in return.
But I cannot return your devotion.
I cannot summon the feelings which you spill from your heart.
I don't want to cause you pain, but I have
Begged, cried, and pleaded
My soul to generate these emotions. I've prayed to the heavens to let me feel something other than uncertainty.
But I found nothing.
And even though you said you were willing to feel the pain of rejection,
It seems unfair of me to have only negatives to say.
I'm sorry for my lack of, and I'm sorry for your unmarked abundance of
Heart.
