Don't say goodbye to me.
Goodbye means the end of something.
A relationship,
A friendship,
A good day,
A father,
A mother,
A sibling.
Goodbye means you've chosen to move on.
And while I know we all have to move in life, and nothing stays the same,
Don't say Goodbye.
Let me live an eternity in this little moment with you.
I may not be the same when we meet again.
We may not meet again.
Are we constantly saying goodbye because we acknowlegde the dispensisability of our mortality,
And we can cease to exist any second?
Are we just preparing each other for the day Goodbye means goodbye forever?
I know you have to go and grow.
I do too.
And I wish this moment could last forever.
I wish nothing ever had to change.
But if you have to leave,
Hug me, kiss me, smile at me for the last time,
But don't say goodbye.
