My alarm woke me up early this morning. Beep. Beep. Its time to go to work.

I sigh as I slapped the top of my alarm clock. Just another five minutes, please. I almost drift off again when another annoying sound breaks the silence. This time its my phone. "Alright, alright!" I get up to walk to my dresser across the room and turn it off.

I ate a pathetic breakfast and put on my uniform. I then walked to the car wash and quickly made preparations for the day. I'm usually the first one there in the morning to set up shop before anyone arrives.

About an hour or two after I open the shop, the first customer arrives. He has dark, nicely styled hair with glasses on his brown eyes. He was wearing a simple shirt with jeans. He walked towards me.

"Hello. Welcome to Tim's Car Wash. What service can I provide you with?"

"Uhm, I just need my car cleaned up on the inside. I spilled my drink in it and the stain is stuck to the seats," he explained.

"No problem, we'll be right on it."

"Thank you so much," He sighed with relief. "How long will it take?"

"Since its just a stain, it would be around 20 minutes. We'll clean up the other areas for you, but it won't be too long," I assured him. "Could I have your name and number, please?"

"Oh, right. Its Mark." He handed me his business card.

"Wow, you're a florist? Are you the guy who sells flowers on Ebon Street? Those flowers look very pretty whenever I walk by."

He chuckled. "Yes, its actually my mothers shop, but I help out most of the time."

"That's nice. You can head over to the diner across the street and wait there. I'll call you when its ready."

Mark smiled at me before he went out the front door.

"Ohmigosh. Who was that? Did you get his number?" I turned to see my fellow colleague, Lea leaning against the back door.

"Of course I did. How else would I call him to get his car?"

"You know what I mean." She nudged me with her elbow. I rolled my eyes at her.

"Come on we have to get to work. We don't want to keep customers waiting."

~Next Day~

It was the same as yesterday. I got up, ate breakfast, then went to work. But today was different. At around 1, Mark showed up at the car wash again. "Hey, what brings you here? You spill another drink?"

"No, no. I came here to give you this." He handed me a big bouquet filled with colourful flowers. I spotted a couple of carnations and roses. It was really beautiful.

"Aw, you didn't have to-" I sneezed. And sneezed. "I... forgot to mention... I'm...kinda allergic to flowers." I sneezed again.

"Oh geez." Mark quickly took the flowers from me. "I'm so sorry."

"Its fine," I said.

He set the flowers aside. "Let me make it up to you. I'll...treat you to dinner, how does that sound?"

I finally stopped sneezing and managed to say, "S-sure. That'd be really lovely."

"Pick you up at 7?"

I smiled and nodded in reply. Mark walked out of the car wash looking like the happiest man alive.
