I gasp as I wake up. Where am I, what happened? I can hardly move my head, my brain unable to operate my muscles. I glance over to the right and see a large set of beds just like mine, each of them occupied by someone. I look the other way, that side is also filled with beds. Breathing requires a lot of energy in my current state, I try to lay still and focus on my thoughts. I hear footsteps approaching the bed, it's only one person. They stop right next to me, I can't bring myself to turn my head in the direction to see who it is. The person bends over me, looking me straight into my eyes. I know these eyes, they are from Doctor Eckhardt. He leans in even closer and whispers in my ear. 'Did you think you were the only one? It takes more than one person to conduct a successful experiment. You won't be able to survive here, you should've stayed where you were when you had the chance. Good luck David.' He grins at me while standing back up. He turns around and walks away, leaving me behind.

With a faint voice I call out for help, but I can hardly create a sound. There is no one that can hear me.
