Roses were easily tossed away but he couldn't be.
He arrived in the morning, determined to rule her heart.
Little did he know, her heart was gone because he'd broken it.
A sharp knock on the door sent a wave of fear rippling through her.
"I'm not going to hurt you."
But she'd heard those words before.
He was persistent. She wasn't.
He wouldn't leave. She let him in.
He kissed her until she couldn't take it.
She mustered up the courage and pushed back.
"No," she shouted. "Go away, Anton."
"But I love you." He sobbed.
"I loved you once before but not anymore."
"But," he quibbled, "you can love me again."
She couldn't because she remember every tear, bruise and broken promise.
"Don't come back."
And so she pushed him out the apartment and proceed to forget about him.
