✼LILA✼
Lila was scared, so days passed with no change.
She thought about all the things she would say.
But those words would never come out.
They were stuck in her throat.
And so she thought they might never come out.
The day passed and he returned home.
He was short-tempered from a bad day at work.
So he turned to her.
Fist raised, malice in his eyes.
And then it happened.
"There are two things in life you can't take back; words and bullets. So make sure you hit what you aim at and mean what you say."
"What did you say?" Shock replacing the violent glint.
"I don't need you and I don't want you. You will never hit me again. Leave."
"Lila," he warned.
"What are you going to do, hit me?" She scoffed. "Do it, see where it gets you."
His fist lowered and a tear trickled down his cheek.
"Please, Lila, I need you."
"Needing me and loving me isn't the same."
He loved her and he didn't mean to hit her.
"You need help."
He wanted to be angry, but he nodded.
She was right, he needed help.
"Okay, I'll get help."
He crumpled to his knees, so she hugged him.
There were a lot of things he deserved, but she was better than him.
