"Jimin.. I-""No!" I jumped as the door to the room was thrown open, revealing a very angry Jungkook, "No, you will not get another chance! You are a fuc-"
"That's enough of that," Jungkook growled as a pale hand slapped across his mouth and yanked him backwards. He grabbed the wrist and pulled it down roughly, "You're in a hospital, Kook,"
"Hyung, let me go! I won't let him be alone with her!"
"It's not up to you," Yoongi said, still trying to pull him out, "For fucks sake, just leave them alone, you damn muscle pig!"
"Shut up!" Jungkook was still resisting Yoongis efforts to pull him out, "That's my Noona!"
"And she needs to talk to her fiance!"
"She's not marrying him!"
"Well, she's still wearing the ring," Yoongi argued, "Let them be!"
"No," Jungkook said stubbornly, pulling away, "No. Thank you for paying the bill and moving her to a better hospital, Jimin, but that's the end of your relationship with my sister,"
"Jungkook, can I-" Jungkook cut me off as I tried to speak.
"No you can not," He moved closer to me, putting his body in between me and Jimin, "Noona, I'm sorry that I'm doing this, I know I'm no better than him right now, but I can't allow it to happen. He bullied you for years, and he almost killed you,"
I snorted, "That's an exaggeration, Kookie," I said, "I'm fine,"
"You weren't fine," Yoongi piped up from the door, "You almost died, babe. You were mostly unconcious for a week because of the pneumonia. The doctors weren't sure you were going to pull through,"
"But I did," I argued, "Leave the pneumonia out if it, it was my own fault,"
"Why are you defending him?" Jungkook asked, "After all he's done?"
"I'm not," I sighed, "I'm not I just won't blame him for me getting sick, because I was the one who ran out into the rain wearing just my pajamas,"
Jimin, who had been silent, slowly got to his feet. All three of us turned to look at him, "No matter your decision," He said quietly, "Your hospital bills will be taken care of, and I will live up to my promises. I won't force you this time. But... Bee," He stepped to the side so Jungkook wasn't partially blocking him, and looked straight into my eyes, "Please, I.... I just want.. I'll give you a little time to think,"
Jungkook stepped inbetween us, leaning down and taking my hand. He pulled the engagement ring off of my finger, before turning around and dumping it in Jimins hands.
"She doesn't need time to think. You and her are through. Now, please leave,"
The room was uncomfortably silent as the two stared at eachother, but Jimin gave first. With a sigh, he took a step backwards and turned, leaving the room with the barest of glances back at me.
Jungkook sighed with relief and turned back to me, taking the bunch of flowers from my lap, "This can go in the bin," He muttered, reaching for the plush unicorn as well.
My hand darted out, almost on its own, gripping the unicorn tightly and pulling it into my chest, "No, I want this," I said quietly.
"You and your unicorns," Yoongi chuckled from the doorway, coming to take a seat on the other side of the bed, "Let her keep it, Kook, it's just a toy. Besides, you can't have a sick person throwing a tantrum; you know she wouldn't be able to stand it if you threw a unicorn into the trash,"
Jungkook grunted, dumping the tulips into the bin as I watched, fighting back the uncontrollable urge to cry.
That evening I was moved to a new hospital. I was wheeled out and moved to another bed, with my father and Jungkook rushing behind with all of my belongings.
The new hospital was quite different from the one I was in; it looked brighter, newer and cleaner, and there was a lot more doctors and nurses walking around. I still wanted to go home.
I got given a check up as soon as I was admitted to my room, and the doctor gave me news I was dreading.
"The pneumonia is still present, and your temperature is still way too high. After your previous week, we are going to have to keep you in for at least a few more days, and depending on your test results after that, you may or may not be able to go home. We have to get rid of the fluid in your lungs before we can even think of letting you leave,"
My father thanked him and then turned to me as he left, "Bee, I have to go back to work, now that you're doing better," He said sadly, "And so does Jungkook. We can't afford not to,"
I smiled, "I understand, Dad. Don't work too hard, though,"
Once they had left, Yoongi dragged a comfortable looking chair from the corner next to the bed, and slumped into it.
"Babe," He said, looking at the unicorn still clasped tightly in my grip, "What were you going to say to Jimin?"
I loosened my grip and looked down at the cuddly toy, "I-" I sighed, staring down at the soft white fuzz in my hand, "I don't know,"
Yoongi was quiet for a moment, just looking at me, and then he stood up, "Babe, you need to be honest with yourself. I'm going to put this down to you being sick right now, but you need to make a decision for yourself. Jungkook can't control you forever. If you want to be with him, just say so,"
"I don't know if I-"
"I gotta go home, babe," He leant down, pecking me on my forehead, "I haven't slept in a week. I'll be back soon, alright? Call me if you need anything,"
"Bye, Yoongi," I mumbled as he left the room, hands in his pockets.
Once I was alone, I went back to staring at the unicorn.
"I wasn't going to give him another chance... Was I?"
