A series of beeps echo through my room as I groan, turning on my side and slamming my hand on what used to be my alarm clock. "Fucking finally..." I muttered as I sat up, moving my hair out my face and just sitting there for a good two minutes, not feeling like moving at all. I continued doing whatever I was doing until my aunt, my caretaker of fifteen years entered my bedroom. "Y/N, you're awake, right? You need to pack up for your flight." I yawned and nodded, finally getting out of my bed and stretching my arms out a bit, hearing the satisfying 'pop' of my shoulders. "Mhm, I'll be out in a moment, I have most of my belongings packed, I just have to go over the small things and I should be fine," I responded with a smile, she nodded and returned the smile before leaving my room, the door shutting quietly behind her. "Now to take care of this mess," I said as I looked at my tangled hair in the small mirror on my desk, grabbing my brush so I could prepare for what felt like a war against the mess on my head.

I finally got that mess of knots out of my hair and grabbed my passport as well as my luggage, not forgetting to grab my glasses, the last thing I want is to not be able to see when I'm on a plane. Auntie was nice enough to drive me to the airport, and I will admit that saying goodbye to her was more... emotional than I had anticipated. I hugged her tightly as she sniffled, smiling a bit before pulling away. "I'll call you when I arrive, okay? I promise I'll be safe, I love you!" I exclaim before grabbing ahold of my luggage and dashing off to the entrance of the airport, waving goodbye one more time before finally going inside.
The wait to board the plane didn't take too long, I just sat in the lobby with my headphones in and listened to music, humming a bit before I heard the flight attendant calling all passengers to board. I walked for a short period of time and found my seat, putting my suitcase in the overhead bin and shutting it securely, sitting by the window seat and leaning my head back. A few minutes later I saw the person who would be sitting next to me approach and put his belongings in the overhead bin as well, sitting next to me and smiling. A smiled back and left it at that. The boy seemed to be around my age, maybe a little bit older, but what caught my eye the most was how he slowly but surely put his hand on my thigh. I raised my eyebrow and looked at him but he seemed to not be paying attention to me. I sighed and moved his hand back to his own space and that action alone seemed to spread the message quite quickly that I wasn't in the mood to deal with his actions.
Thankfully he didn't do anything more to me, so I found myself leaning back and cozying up in the blanket the flight attendant provided me with, calming music playing in my ears as I found myself dosing off.
'Japan, here I come.'
