"Froakie use Water Pulse!" said Subaru "Pachirisu block with Electro Ball!"

As Subaru battled himself, Yume and Kanata watched from in the center as they ate their breakfast with their Pokémon. "How long has he been doing this?" Kanata asked

"One hour, twelve seconds, and thirty seven seconds," Yume answered

"Ches"

"Fennekin"

"Did my comment about beating him twice get to him?" he asked "Cause I'm just great! It has nothing to do about him,"

"Maybe," Yume replied

"Hey guys!" said Laura as she hopped over to the two friends. "So I just wanted to pop in and give my Pokémon a quick check up before I left to my next showcase,"

"So you're leaving?" Yume asked

"Duh! You are too you know!"

"Oh, yeah I forgot,"

"But we won't be leaving if Subaru doesn't stop any time soon," said Kanata

"Oh ... so he's one of those guys?" Laura asked

"One of what guys?" asked Yume

"You know, the type who train for days and days un end with no break until they emerge victorious? I've thought he was that kind of guy on stage, but is he the same for Pokémon training?"

"No ... not really,"

Yume laid around in her room as she waited for Kanata to come back from museum she kindly rejected to go to. Subaru was still battling outside, Yume sighed. "Come on you dope, just stop battling would ya?"

Tap! Tap! Tap!

Yume looked over at the window, there was a Fletchling at her window. "I know you," she said as she opened the window "You helped me when I was down about loosing my showcase back in Dandemille Town. Wait, you couldn't possibly be the same Fletchling. Could you?"

"Fletch! "

"No way you are," Yume let the little Pokémon perch on her finger "Got any advice on how to help my friend? He's down in the dumps because he lost a battle AnD I just realized it's not that different from my situation,"

"Pachirisu use Scratch!" said Subaru "Froakie, block with your Frubbles!" Pachirisu came in to attack Froakie but she was topped when he buried her in sticky Frubbles. "Now use -"

"Surprise Attack!" cried Yume as she jumped onto Subaru's back and covered his eyes.

"Hey! What the heck Tomato?!!" he cried as he struggled to keep balance.

Yume jumped off him. "Battle me!"

"Excuse me!"

"My Fennekin agents your Froakie!"

"whoa, hold on there. Where is this coming from?"

"You've been training for hours with a big frown on your face," said Yume "No more negativity! You're going to battle me and smile!"

"... I'm not following you,"

"Look, when I lost my showcase I was so sad. I was devastated. I thought about giving up thinking I was stupid to do both. But then I realized I can do both! I thought I was a failure but failing is only part of success! That's what I want to show you,"

Subaru starred at her ... then flicked her fore head. "Ouch! What was that for?"

"For up staging me and being the better person!" he answered

"Well let's see if I'm the better trainer, which I am!"

"Don't bet on it!"

The two started their battle and neither gave in. "Oh no!" cried Kanata as he got back "Not you too, Yume!"

"We'll meet again, right?" Yume asked as the three of them and Laura got ready to part ways.

"Of course! We'll meet in the Master Class," said Laura

"Master Class? You really think I can make it to the Master Class?"

"Of course!"

"We all do," Subaru added "Tomato,"

"Shut up," said Yume as she playfully punched his arm. "But you really think so, Laura?"

"Do you?"

"Um ... yeah!"

"Then we will!"

The shook hands then went their separate ways.
