"What's the next town we'll be arriving in, Kanata?" Yume asked her friend

"Uh ... Reine Town," he said

"Reine Town? Never heard of it," said Subaru

"It's a small town," Kanata told him "But apparently it's very into their medieval history. There's an old castle where kings and queens and princes still live in,"

Like me ;)

"Wow!" said Yume "That sounds so awesome! Is it close?"

"See for yourself," Kanata pointed to the distance where a castle stood in front of the cutest town she had ever seen.

"Awesome! Race you two there!"

"Yume, I'm not -"

"I'll kick your butt, Tomato!" cried Subaru as he chased after Yume.

"Ugh, those two," said Kanata "I don't know what to do with or without them,"

"I win!" said Subaru as they reached the gates o the town "Take that, Tomato!"

"It's Yume!" Yume cried

"You say potato, I say tomato!"

"Can you two go anywhere without needing to run?" Kanata asked as he caught up with them.       

"Nope!" They replied in unison

"Now let's go!" said Yume, and they dashed into the town.

"Everything sure looks pretty festive," said Subaru "Do you think they knew we were coming?"

"It's the Rainbow Festival," Kanata told them

"Huh?"

"It's a holiday they celebrate here. Apparently there's a whole story behind it: A man was madly in love with a princess, so in order to have her favor her brought her seven gifts, one every day for a week. Then one rainy day he asked her to marry him and when she said yes a rainbow appeared.  So I guess the rainbow represents the seven gifts he got her,"

"Aw that's so sweet!" said Yume

"I'm gonna be sick," said Subaru

"Oh shut up," said Yume

"I'm actually with Subaru on this," said Kanata "But every year they hold a huge ball in the castle and everyone dresses up and stuff,"

"That sounds awesome! We should go to the ball!" Yume sugjested

"Are we even invited?" Subaru asked

"Everyone's welcome," said Kanata

"Yay! It's settled then, we're going!"

"I have to say," Subaru said to Kanata as they waited for Yume to get dressed "This is one of the silliest ideas that tomato has come up with so far," Kanata shrugged

"I can hear you," Yume said

"Good!"

"I think it would better if the suits were less ..." said Kanata

"Irritating? Scratchy? Stiff?" Subaru suggjested

"Do you know a word that means all three?"

"I could make one up ... Tartwinkle!"

"What's a tartwinkle?" Yume asked, still getting dressed

"It means irritating and stiff. Keep up with the times, Tomato,"
