Before the Big Day ...

"I never thought I'd ever be this nervous for a battle," said Yume as the three friends ate their dinner together

"What's to be nervous about?" Kanata asked

"Well, I wouldn't say nervous, more like excited," Yume corrected "It's like a strange mix of the two, but more excited for sure!"

"Me too," said Subaru "It's the final round of the Kalos League after all, it's the end ..."

"Yeah!" Yume agreed "I'm planning on getting super hyped before the battle tomorrow! Oh! I can't wait!" Yume took a big bite out of her food then noticed Subaru's excitement left him. Kanata also noticed.

"Are you okay, dude?" Kanata asked

"Huh? Yeah, I'm fine," said Subaru "I'm just ... eating," Subaru stuffed his face and ignored his friends concerns.

"Okay," said Yume

"I'm so excited for tomorrow's battle!" said Asahi "I'll be cheering Subaru on the whole way, right guys?"

"Actually," said Mahiru "I'm cheering for Yume. Right Hamilton?"

"Charmander! "

"What?" Asahi cried, horror struck.

"Me too, I'll admit," Yozora confessed

"What is going on in your brains?" Asahi asked "Subaru is going to win!"

"I'm with Asahi on this one," Ako agreed "I think Subaru will win,"

"Me too," Rin agreed "I mean, he did beat me and earn his badge,"

"No way!" said Maria "Yume will take home the gold!"

"I have to agree with Maria," said Rei "Yume does show a likelihood for winning,"

"Are we betting?" Laura asked "If we are I bet everything on Yume!"

"We shouldn't be betting!" said Nozomu

"It's not a full on gambling thing," said Laura "Just a a wager. I bet all my poke-balls Yume will win!"

"I bet my poke-balls Subaru will win," said Asahi

"Count me out of it," said Aria

"Me too," said Nozomu

"Your choice," said Mikuru "I have a few snacks I'll gladly bet on Subaru winning!"

"Use Psybeam!" said Raichi that night as he practiced with his Pokemon in the University's training room. "Now Energy Ball!"

"Meow! "

Once the smoke cleared Raichi heard someone clapping, he turned.

"That was really good, Raichi,"

"Ichigo,"

"I thought you were awesome out there," Ichigo said to her little brother "Even if you didn't win,"

"Can I keep practicing, please?" Raichi asked "Alone,"

Ichigo gave him a surprised look. "I can't watch?"

"I'd rather be alone," he said

"But ... but it's me! Ichigo! Your sister. Are you mad at me? Is it something I did?" she asked

"No, it's something I did," said Raichi "I lost. But I'll try again next year, and win!"

"Why are you so bitter?" Ichigo asked "You're more upbeat then this. Are you that upset?"
