Writing Prompt: "I'm low on cash but I really need some food from this vending machine, could I trouble you for a dollar?"

I walked into the elevator, pressing the giant L button for the lobby. I had just gotten done with work, and now I was heading home. I watched the numbers on the top of the elevator door slowly counted down, before stopping at the third floor. I watched as the doors opened, and a male walked into the lonely elevator. Soon enough the elevator doors shut and the numbers kept going down before the doors opened in the lobby. I walked out and bumped into the male. I looked at him and started to mumble apologies, moving out of the way, back into the elevator. He just chuckled and gestured towards the door, telling me to go first. I nodded, before quickly walking out of the elevator. I signed out at the front desk, making my way outside into the dark rainy night. I stopped for a moment and took a deep breath of air. It was so clean and refreshing. I walked to the side of the street, walking towards the underground subway. I quickly walked down the stairs and was met with people, rushing to get on their train. I let out a breathy sigh and walked over to the bench and sat down. Soon, I'll be home, and this day will be over.

I heard the loud annoying sound of an alarm clock, before cracking my eyes open. I was greeted with light surrounded me, as the light came in, past the blinds. I turned on to my side, starring and the alarm clock. It greeted me with a flashing green light, as the letters read: 6:45

I reached my hand up and over, turning it completely off, I then folded the sheets over to the other side of the bed and walked into the bathroom, stipping. I walked into the shower before turning on the water. I jumped as the cold water touched my warm skin, waking me up.

I turned the water off, climbing out of the shower, wrapping a towel around my cold and wet body. I dried off for a little bit before walking back into the bedroom, throwing on some fresh boxers. I walked up to my closet, picking out a clean suit, before putting it on. I finished doing my hair and walked into the kitchen, pulling out some cereal and milk. I poured myself a bowl, before eating it and running the bowl under the sink. I made my way to the bathroom for the last time, before brushing my teeth. After I was done I made my way to the front door. I grabbed my apartment keys and wallet, before leaving, locking the door behind me.

I sat at my desk, staring at my computer screen. I had finished today's work, with time leftover. I watched the minutes countdown before the hour was finally over. I shut my computer off and made my way to the elevator, pressing the Lobby button once again. I yawned once again, watching the numbers dropped. The elevator stopped and the doors opened, on the third floor. The same male from yesterday stepped into the elevator. The doors closed and we both stood there. The elevator opened and this time I stood still, letting him go first. He chuckled and walked out and I followed his footsteps. We both signed out at the desk and I made my way towards the glass doors, which led to the outside. I was about to pull it open before I heard the male.

"Uhm, sorry to bother you, I know its the weekend and everyone's rushing to get home, but. I'm low on cash but I really need some food from this vending machine, could I trouble you for a dollar?"

I was honestly surprised to hear someone from the third floor ask for money. But then again this is my second time seeing him, so he had either just been hired and hadn't got his paycheck or his schedule had just been changed.
