Writing Prompt: "That has got to be the lamest pick-up line in existence."

"Don't worry. That's just Plan A."

"So what's Plan B?"

"To take you hostage."

It was an abnormal Friday night, in which my friends had forced me out of the house to a club. A normal Friday night for me consists of playing video games or watching TV. My friends, of course, told me to get off my single ass and find someone tonight. So, that's what I was doing.

My body moved with the music, but my eyes wandered the floor, looking for anyone either sitting alone or just plain bored. My eyes caught onto someone who was sitting on a barstool at the bar. He looked to be making himself as small and unnoticeable as possible. I smiled and made my way through the crowded area, trying not to accidentally touch anyone's special parts. I made my way over to the bar and sat next to the male. His dark brown hair wasn't  too visible from the darkness that surrounded the room unless you got a closer look. Which I happened to be doing.

"Hey," I smirked, ordering a drink from the bartender.

He gave me a quick glance and smiled.

"Uhm. I'm sorry to say this but. I think you have something in your eye. No, wait. It's just a sparkle," I winked.

He shook his head.

"That has got to be the lamest pick-up line in existence." He replied giggling a bit.

"Don't worry. That's just Plan A." I started taking a sip of the drink.

He looked confused, so he asked. "So what's Plan B?"

I looked him up and down, before taking another sip. When I swallowed I smirked, "To take you, hostage."

He giggled and smiled at me.

"You're okay, I guess." He expressed.

"You guess?" I asked.

"Mhm." He replied.

I narrowed my eyes at him.

"Want to blow this popsicle stand and go outside for a walk? I promise not to murder you in an alleyway" I asked.

He laughed. "Please, anything just get me out of the place," He replied.

After he placed down money for his drink, we went out the door to be met with the cold air that lingered outside. It smelled of smoke and alcohol, so. We started walking down the sidewalk talking about ourselves a bit.

We rounded a block when I had noticed that he was shaking a little. At a closer glance, the jacket he had been wearing wasn't that thick, meaning it wouldn't keep him that warm. I quickly unzipped my coat, and I slid it off my shoulders and wrapped it around him. He looked at me and I smiled wrapping an arm around him, holding him close. We kept walking until we I saw a cafe in the distance.

"Down for some hot chocolate?" I asked.

"Why not?" He replied.

I smiled as we made our way across the street, to the open cafe across the way. I opened the door for him and we walked in.

A waiter greeted us and asked how many people. We replied with two and were sat at the counter and we both ordered some hot chocolate. As we waited he gave me back my jacket and thanked me. We ended up playing would you rather and we both had some pretty interesting questions.

"Would you rather have more time or money?" I questioned.

"Hm. I'm going to have to go with time. Cause if I had more time, I could make more money." He explained.

"Would you rather have your choices made by other people or by using a randomized method? You have no say in what you would actually want." He asked

"I'd have to go with-" I was cut off by the waitress bringing us our hot chocolate.

We both thanked her as she handed us the bill and we sat in silence as we sipped our hot chocolate.

As we were at your finish to our drinks I downed the last few inches of my drink and looked at him, smiling.

"So, I didn't catch your name, handsome," I asked.

I smirked when I say his cheeks and ears gain a tint of red.

"T-Tony." He shuddered.

"Cute," I replied.

I kissed his cheek and watched as he grew as red as Rudolph's nose.

I paid for the drinks and dragged him back outside into the cold of the night. I pulled him into the Townsquare where a giant Christmas tree stood. It wasn't yet dark enough for the lights to turn so, I slid on my jacket, and zipped down the front, pulling the brunette into me, covering his body with my jacket.

"It's so beautiful." He whispered.

I hugged him from behind to keep him warm.

"Indeed," I responded.

We watched the tree for what seemed like hours. It was getting late, and colder now.

"Can I get you a taxi, so you can get home?" I asked.

"I'd like that." He replied, snuggling into me. I kissed his cheek again before pulling out my phone. I called a Taxi and gave them our current location.

I felt the male turn around and give me a hug.

"You're warm." He giggled.

I hugged back.

"Is there a way we can stay in contact?" I asked, kissing his forehead.

"I have a phone." He replied.

"Mmm."

We both stared into each other's eyes, inching closer. Until our lips were an inch apart. We looked into each other eyes before we both leaned in, our lips touching. I saw a sudden brightness and when we broke the kiss I turned my head to see the Christmas tree lights had turned on. I smiled and leaned in for another kiss.

This was going to be one of the best holidays yet.
