Chapter 38

This is probably one of the longest chapters I've ever written, so enjoy!!

"Rin is part of my family now and about to be a big sister, so I have no qualms of her being in there as long as she says she can handle."

Rin thought about what Yuki and I had both said for a moment, then beamed at me and nodded her head.

I'm going to be a big sister Rin thought with joy then ran ahead of Sesshomaru into the room thought with joy then ran ahead of Sesshomaru into the room.

"So, why do I have to get naked again?" I asked hesitantly, realizing I forgot to question that when she first said it. Sesshomaru finally set me down and luckily kept one arm around my waist because I didn't stay standing for long. My knees were still quivering from all the pain.

"Because once the labor is over you're going to need to nurse immediately and that-" she followed her eye line to the high collar she was eying wearily with no zippers or buttons for front access, then she looked over the length and long sleeves, "-is not something you're going to have the will to fret with after delivering two babies." She explained.

"Ok" I sighed in defeat.

Rin ran over to a corner and just sat against the wall watching the ground to give me some privacy.

I felt silly not being able to bend over and had to slowly bundle the material up from my waist to reach the hem. Sesshomaru sensed my unease and gently helped me to a kneel on the ground. Standing behind me I heard some shuffling for a moment and wasn't sure what he was doing, but I knew he dropped something to the ground after. He was quick with his movements and barely a moment later he was pulling the dress up and off for me. I don't know why it made me blush, but I did and smiled back at him over my shoulder at his gesture.

So that's what he was doing I thought and my blush grew redder noticing he had also removed his top to help comfort me, which it did.

He helped me resituate to lay back and the warmth of his skin pressed against my back did bring me some comfort. He also wrapped his physical arm across my front trying to help be a shield for my breasts to help further ease my nerves. Then I felt his phantom fingers slip through mine and grip my hand firmly.

As Yuki positioned my legs to get ready I gripped Sesshomaru's arm around my chest with my free hand and held tight.

"Ready?" Yuki asked looking up at me.

"Can I really say no." I squeaked as I started to get really anxious now. She just gave me a reassuring smile before focusing her attention back to the matter at hand.

"Remember to keep your breathing steady. Take deep breaths to calm yourself if needed. Now I need you to start pushing." She instructed.

It all sounded so simple and easy, but when up against the pain that tore through me as I pushed it was not.

I tried hard to grit my teeth and suppress my cries from the pain, but after about the sixth push I screamed out so loud I was sure it was echoing through the rest of the cavern. Then I thought I heard another cry fill the air and I quickly quietened myself and listened. Everything was quiet for a moment and then a tiny cry rang out and I relaxed a bit back into Sesshomaru's arms.

I happily accepted the momentary break as Yuki tended to the first baby to arrive.

"Rin" she called out to her from her spot against the wall. Rin quickly jumped up at attention to do whatever was needed, "would you please bring me those." She said, pointing to a small pile of furs just outside of her reach. I couldn't see what was happening, but in an instant Rin was by her side with the furs and sat by her like she was ready for another order.
