"Before that happened, the witch took the beautiful voice that the Sea Demon had given her as payment and came to the surface herself to convince the prince that she was the maiden who had saved him from he wreck and that he should be with her."

Rin and Jaken gasped, but Jaken's also contained a "that wench" and now I couldn't hold back the laughter any longer.

Narrator POV

"All's I'm saying is we would have more of the Jewel Shards if Naraku had never gone over there and stuck it in her! As long as it's by her woman parts and they're breeding Sesshomaru won't let me take 'em back." Inuyasha grumbled.

Kagome had just come back from a return home with a wrapped package she insisted on taking to Corrine right away and Inuyasha didn't like the idea... So of course this is how he managed to steer the argument.

"You can't honestly mean that!" Kagome gasped at Inuyasha's bold statement.

"I can, too! We'd have already gotten it back when we defeated Naraku!"

"SHE defeated Naraku with her own bare hands. We might still be fighting him if she wasn't around." Sango added to the argument.

"I could have beaten him by now." Inuyasha pouted grumpily.

Inuyasha continued to argue with the girls while a strange creature watched from the bushes.

"If that is your wish..." It whispered then disappeared in a whirl of smoke.

Sesshomaru sniffed the air and his eyes glowed a deadly red. Did he really send his woman to step foot in my home?! He growled, recognizing the scent of Kagome.

In the blink of an eye he was outside of the entrance, towering over her menacingly. He didn't say a word, just watched her with narrowed red eyes as she squirmed under his gaze. He could hear her gulp in fear and he smirked.

"How do you know where I live?" He demanded from her.

"W-What do you mean?! You let us follow you here after we defeated Naraku!" Kagome finally found her voice...and found herself a bit confused.

"Defeated Naraku? Typical, a silly human talking about what they don't know. Naraku is not dead." He chided her.

"Yes, he is! Corrine killed him herself. That's actually why I'm here. I wanted to give you both this." Kagome turned and pulled the package from her bike. Her hands shook as she presented it to Sesshomaru, now wishing Inuyasha would have come with her-but he insisted on never coming near this place again. Once was enough for him.

"Both of us? I do not know this Corrine, so I don't know why we'd be accepting a present from a human. I know I wouldn't." He told her coldly-but for some reason that name nawed at the back of his head. It was only his curiosity that allowed her to continue standing there.
