(Eclipse's PoV)

I walk with my Poochyena. We're taking a break from training.

"R-r-rufflet~!"

My eyes widen at the sudden cry. "Come on, Poochy!"

I run quickly in the direction of the noise. We come to a small clearing in a group of trees. There's a small Rufflet, badly injured, cornered by another Poochyena.

Some pokemon are just so cruel.

"Poochy." I say.

He nods already understanding. It runs at the other Poochyena, tackling it. They roll over a few times, growling at each other. I run to the Rufflet quickly, picking it up gently. Poochy bites it's opponent's tale. The wild Poochyena yelps before running away. Poochy barks at me, and I nod in response. We quickly run to the nearest pokemon center.

"Nurse Joy!" I shout, running up to the counter. "Can you help him, please?" I ask, holding the Rufflet up to the counter.

Nurse Joy takes him gently. "I'll see what I can do, Eclipse."

With that she disappeared to the back. Me and Poochy sit, patiently waiting. A while after, Nurse Joy comes over holding the little pokemon. He looks much better.

"There, all better. Here's your Rufflet back." She says, holding him out to me.

"Actually, he-" I start.

"Ruffle! Rufflet!" The bird says, jumping from her arms to my head.

I giggle. "I guess he is mine."

I wake up, my brows knit in confusion. I sit up and hold my forehead.

Why are all my dreams flashbacks lately? And, they're all how I met my pokemon. ... I don't know. Maybe it's the stress.

(Ninetales's PoV)

I enter Eclipse's room, finding her sitting up and stretching. "Good morning."I say, though she can't really understand me.

"Morning." She yawns.

I flip on the rooms light with one of my tails, and she pulls the covers over her head in response. Braviary grumbles in annoyance, waking up. Mightyena and Umbreon both roll onto the floor, landing on their feet and stretching. I smile, exiting back to the kitchen. Magius floats at the stove, staring at a cookbook to the right of it. Banette is laying on is back in the center of the living room's coffee table, flipping through tv channels on the tv. I roll my eyes at him.

"Don't burn yourself, Magius." I warn.

He sighs. "I'm not a child, Ninetales. I know how to be careful."

"I was just saying-" I start.

"Are you two really going to have the exact same argument as yesterday?" Banette asks, his speech muffled as usual and him suddenly right next to us.

I glare at him slightly. "Did you leave the tv running?"

He sighs. "Sorry, mom~." He complains, referring to me as mom to get on my nerves.

Nine bright blue orbs of fire surround his face.

"Whoa, whoa. Cool it." He says, holding his hands up and backing away slightly.

Eclipse comes in the room shaking her head at us. "Tales, try not to kill Banette." She mumbles sleepily before flopping onto the couch.

I sigh and the fire disperses. He smirks before going over and snuggling into her arms. She hugs him like she would a doll, yawning again before nodding off. I sigh.

What are we going to do with her?

(Eclipse's PoV)

I run through the snow covered grass, tears streaming down my face. Not even Mightyena or Rufflet are with me.

I don't want them to be with me. I don't want anyone to try and comfort me. All they'll do is just make it worse.

I'm freezing, just in my pajamas, tennis shoes, and big fluffy jacket. I run and run and run before tripping suddenly and falling in the snow. I sit up, shivering and sobbing uncontrollably as the snow comes down around me. I curl up in a ball, hugging my arms and just sitting there.

"Vulpix?"

I jump a little, looking to the left and seeing a Vulpix. But, this one is different. It's not the orange-auburn that Vulpixs are. It's golden...

"Vulpix?" He repeats.

"G-go a-a-away..." I mumble.

He shakes its head before walking off. A bit later he comes back with a few sticks in his mouth, kicking a bigger one while he walks back over to me. He piles them up before lighting them on fire with a flame thrower. He leaves again, taking longer this time to come back. He struggles, pushing a large pile of sticks with his nose. He adds them to the fire he's got going.

"Vul, vulpix." He says.

I shake my head, though I don't know exactly what he said.

He frowns, glaring slightly. "Pix vul." He says, stomping his foot.

"I-i-i'm f-fine~..." I mumble.

"Vul~!" He yells, shooting a small flame thrower at the ground next to me.

I jump, my eyes widening. "Ok! Ok!" I say, moving next to the fire.

The Vulpix smiles, coming over and curling up next to me. I scratch behind one of his ears, a small smile finding its way onto my face.

I wake up to Ninetales poking me with his paw.

"What~?" I wine, hugging Banette closer to my person.

"Tales, tale nine." He says.

"But, what if I'm not hungry?" I challenge.

He glares as bright blue orbs of fire appear and float around him. I stand up, rushing to the table quickly. Banette floats in the air, still asleep.

I hide on the opposite side of it from him. "Put the fire out, dude. Violence doesn't solve anything."

"Ninetales." He comments.

"I know you beg to differ, but the point is I was joking and you're taking this farther than it has to go." I explain.

Magius rolls his eyes at me, as he sets my breakfast down on the table. I smile, laughing some while Ninetales dismisses the fire.

I love these guys.
