I look up from the files on my desk when I hear the soft sound of someone clearing their throat. Raising an eyebrow and leaning back in my chair, I wait for them to speak. I almost laugh as I see Shelby dig her elbow into Mel's ribs.

"Can we take you to lunch?" she asks quietly, and I'm about to refuse when George sticks his head out of his office.

"Yes, take her. If she bashes those keys any harder, I'll have to order a new keyboard,"

I scowl at him before pushing my chair back and standing. "Let's go then," I say bluntly, gesturing for them to lead the way. I'm surprised when they walk down the street and enter a little café a few stores down. I raise an eyebrow and look at Shelby. "Helping the competition?"

She looks uncomfortable as her eyes flit between me and Mel. "Kind of having window problems," she says quietly, and I fight to hold back a laugh, nodding instead as we sit at a table near the window. After a few minutes, the silence becomes unbearable and I could kiss Shelby when she breaks it. "I'm so sorry I doubted you," she says to me, pleading me with her eyes.

I shrug and look away. "It's not like you were the only one who did,"

Mel reaches over the table and grabs my hand, ignoring me when I tense. "I'm so sorry, Len. I don't know what got into me; I was just so paranoid. It wasn't even about you at first, I just thought there was someone else, and then I saw those messages and jumped to completely the wrong conclusions. I know I messed up big time, and I should've spoken to you or Ash, but I wasn't thinking, I was just hurt and I lashed out. I did the thing that I knew would hurt you the most. And I know that was wrong of me, even if you had been doing it, I should've spoken to you or him first. I'm so, so sorry, Lenni. I know neither of you would ever do that to me, I just don't know what got into me,"

I look at her for a few moments, just taking in her features. Her eyes are red and puffy and her skin is pale, to be honest, she looks like crap. "I can understand the paranoia and insecurity, I really do get that. And those messages could only look bad when your head is in that space. But you jumping to those conclusions wasn't even what hurt me, Mel,"

She and Shelby share a look before turning to me with confused faces. "What was it then?" Mel asks.

"It was the fact that everybody doubted me! Not one person asked me about it, you all just assumed it was true. All it took was one picture, and suddenly everyone believes that about me. I dunno," I shrug and look down at the table. "I guess I just didn't realise how little everybody thought of me,"

"We don't think little of you," I jump at the voice behind me, and realise Jay, Banjo, Skids and Pest are all standing there.

"Brilliant," I mumble, rolling my eyes. I stand and turn back to the girls. "Thank you for bringing me out. I'll see you soon,"

"Len," Jay says, grabbing my arm as I try to walk past him.

"No, Jay. Don't. You don't get to ambush me here, and just expect me to talk to you when you doubted me as much as Mel did. She has hormones and baby blues to blame, you just thought I was capable of that for no reason,"

"It's not like that, Lenni," he protests, gripping my arm slightly harder.

I yank it back and glare at him. "What's it like then?" He doesn't answer; he just rubs the back of his neck and looks to the others for help. "There's no other answer, Jay. You all assumed the worst of me. Skids is the only person who stuck up for me, it never even crossed any of your minds that it might not be true,"
