I wave at the happy brunette outside the cafe. She's so excited. As am I; double dates!

"Hi Kyoko." I smile.

"Makoto's not with you?" I am asked. I laugh, blushing.

"He was but then Rin called him, that was why we had to push the whole thing back until later today; I'm glad the cafe is still open; it has the best mackrel." I reply.

"You sound like Haru." she giggles.

"Shhh." I laugh.

"So Aoi." Kyoko nudges me. "This your first double date?"

"It is." I nod. "What about you?"

"Me and my friend Melissa would go on double dates in Australia but the guy who would go with me would have originally asked Melissa to go and she would have said no."Kyo' recalls. "This is the first double date where the guy actually wants to go with me."

"Sorry Kyo'." I hang my head.

"Oh Choukoooooo." I flinch at the baritone voice, wavering. I bet he's been drinking again.

"What?" I fold my arms.

"Someone's all dressed up." he remarks. I blush, I'm wearing a dress, a wisteria one with black ribbon around the middle and black ballet flats. Around my neck, where it has been since Easter; except when I'm in the pool is the necklace Makoto got me.

"What do you want?" I demand.

"To make ammends already; everytime I see you, you're latched on to your precious Makoto." he drawles on. I glare at him.

"You're drunk." I state.

"No I'm not!" my brother protests.

"Akira." I fold my arms. "If I've told you once I've told you a thousand times; I don't have anything to say to you."

"I saw that Rei knows about you two; you and your boyfriend." He leans on me.

"Of course he does, you told him." I shrug.

"Who's your frienddd? She's pretty." I gasp at how leery my oldest brother sounds.

"Kimori Kyoko." she replies, sounding appauled.

"Satisfied now Akira?" I narrow my eyes.

"No, I still want to make ammends." he protests.

"Okay then, come to my school on Tuesday and talk to me there, ask for me at the recetion and they'll point you in the right direction." I smirk.

"Perfect." Akira purrs, staggering away. Once he's out of earshot Kyoko grabs hold of my arm.

"Who was that creep? How do you know him? What was he talking about? How were you so calm?"

"Akira; my oldest brother, we do not get along. He's wanting to make ammends forsome terrible things he did ten years ago that started a huge string of problems." I explain. "Why was I calm? He's been much drunker."

"Why didn't Rei tell me about Akira?" Kyoko muses.

"When did you join Iwatobi again?" I ask. "Around... the festival?" I ask. Kyoko nods. "Well he resented Akira before then and hated me, we got mad at Akira after he was tipsy and said something... did Rei tell you about the pool when he was a kid?" I ask.

"No. What happened?" she asks.

"When Rei and I were five Akira pulled on Rei's leg in the pool and he hit his head; he almost drowned under there. He thought i had done it, not Akira so hated me." I tell her the gist of what happened.

"Oh... that makes sense..." she looks unsure as to what to say. "Why did you tell him to come to Samezuka on Tuesday?"

"Oh that's easy, he would get freaked out by the build of my friends and would just retreat slowly. He's a runner, not a swimmer." I giggle.

"Hey Aoi! Hey Kyoko!" Makoto calls.

"Hi you guys!" we wave.

"We didn't keep you for too long did we?" Makoto asks.

"We just got here." I assure.

"Blame Rin. He's the one being weird!" Makoto laughs.

"Let's go in." Rin opens the door to the cafe and holds it open for me and Kyoko, teasingly shutting it on Makoto. Rin chuckles, opening the door for hs olive haired friend.

We order our meals and chat casually between ourselves.

"Kyo' Mei-chan told me to make sure you knew her birthday party is next week and she expects you to be coming." I state.

"Knowing Mei-chan she's going to have a theme..." Kyoko muses.

"Gold." I state. "Is it bad that I really can't wait to see what Fubuki does with that theme?" I ask.

"Oh no." Makoto's eyes widen.

"He'll paint his nails or something." Rin shrugs.

"But you know Fubuki, go hard or go home for him. His hair will be gold or something." I giggle.

"I'll need to find something gold..." Kyoko murmurs.

"Why not just do what I do; tie ribbon around the waist and wear matching shoes?" I suggest.

"Do you think gold would look acceptable with a magenta shirt and shorts though?" she asks.

"Why not?" I smile. "I bought a gold waistcoat that I'm going to wear over a black dress."

"Okay I think now is the time we should leave the conversation." Rin laughs.

"That's fine." Kyo' and I chrip, intrigued by one another's outit ideas for Mei's party.

"Phew, I didn't want to offend you two." Makoto sighs.

"Here are your deserts." the happy black haired server hands Kyo' and I sundaes and Rin and Makoto muffins.

I give Makoto a spoonful of my chocolate sundae. He grins. I blush.

"Is it on my face again?" I blush violently, facing Makoto who laughs, takes a napkin, wipes my face and then kisses me.

Rin has Kyoko in his arms by the time the server returns with the bill. I giggle.

This was a strange yet amazing date, Makoto and I barely talked but who cares! This was a great night!

"Oh wait Makoto." I say as we approach my apartment block.

"What is it?" he asks, kissing my forehead.

"Mind if you stop by Samezuka on Tuesday?" I ask.

"Of course not." he smiles. "Should we go out for coffee?" he asks.

"Coffee sounds great!" I beam.

"Perfect." he grins. "I'll see you later." he stops himself, picking my chin up so I can look into his eyes. He kisses me softly. I blush violently at the idea that my parents or Rei might be looming in the doorway. "Goodnight beautiful, I love you." he waves. "Goodnight Mr and Mrs Ryugazaki." he says. I gasp, turning around to see a closed door. "Got you." he chuckles.

Makoto's such a dork. But he's my dork.
