Author's Note- This is my first time writing a story on Wattpad. Please don't leave hate! Just so you know there WILL be some TW because there's cutting, self deprecating thoughts, and anxiety attacks. Also, don't be offended by the way I depict anxiety attacks. I've never had one. :/ Anyway, bye guys and thanks for reading!
Virgil's POV
I sighed and rolled my eyes in exasperation. as I listened to Princey ramble on and on angrily about how if I stopped bugging him, I might actually be approachable. I was used to this by now. If I just tuned out and thought about something else, then tuned back in at the very end, he would believe that I was listening.
Right as I sensed a closing angry statement coming on, I focused on his words and the ones that came out were not pleasant.
"-and even you know that you're unwanted around here." Even though it was only a fragment of a sentence, I could feel the sting that left behind. It was obvious Roman didn't mean it, but I didn't care. My heart dropped, and I suddenly I felt very warm. I felt like I was about to fall over, and got very light-headed. Beads of sweat formed on my forehead, and everybody's words were getting more muffled.
I sank out. Then I quickly rushed to my room and collapsed on the bed. I curled up on the bed, hands clasped around my knees, rocking back and forth. I started to sob loudly and out of control.
The last thing I heard was someone shouting my name and pounding on my door frantically. I glanced to the door, and was given a tiny shred of hope knowing that it was locked.
