Roman's POV-
"Why are you blushing, Virgil?" Oh gosh why'd I say that. But I have to admit, he was so flustered it was adorable. Then before I knew it, he dropped into the water.
In a panic, I dismounted my bike and ran to the lake, diving in. I swam down a few feet, and grabbed his wrist. Pulling him up, I was straining to get him out. Then the REAL panic kicked in. With a sense of unknown strength, I yanked his body out of the water.
I started pressing on his chest, just like how I learned CPR. He started to cough up water, and I relaxed at the sight.
He slowly sat up, taking in what just happened. Then he sprang to his feet and wrapped his arms around me. I flinched at first, not expecting this, and then melted into it.
When he finally let go, he blushed again and said "s-sorry."
"No! It's fine! You shouln' t apologize!"
"Thank you for saving me. That was very... Nice of you."
"Oh wow." I said, shocked, "Anxiety, being kind, I'm flattered."
"Don't let it go to your head, Pretty Boy." He snapped back.
I smiled, "There he is. The real Virgil is back!"
He chuckled slightly and said, "you helped me with my panic attack, you helped clean me up, and now saved my life. You better stop saving me or I'll never find a way to make it up to you."
And just like that, words slipping out of my mouth I said "I'll never stop saving you."
He smiled at me. Genuinely smiled. And I blushed for about the millionth time tonight.
