Roman's POV-
"I know a guy..." Logan trailed off. "Wait!" I said "What about THIS Anxiety?" I looked at him sadly. "What happens with him?"
"We would replace him with the anxious one from the Alternate Universe. I don't even know if this would work in the first place, because there's no telling if the new one would even automatically reconnect with Thomas. But it is worth a try."
Patton looked more serious than I'd ever seen him. "Okay." HE hesitantly agreed. I did too. I turned to my left, but Virgil wasn't sitting there. "Where'd Amxiety go?" I asked. Logan and Patton shrugged.
Quickly, I stood up and ran down the hallway to his room. The door was... Open? I ran inside, looking around, he wasn't there. On his pillow though, was a small note that read "It's Anxiety. Meet me at the lake. Again." Okay. Well.
I grabbed my shoes, slipping them on my feet, and hopped on the bike, pedaling to the body of water. I dismounted the seat, and looked around. He wasn't there. I felt breathing on my neck. I jumped, turning around to find nobody. I snapped my neck back and saw Virgil looking at me just inches apart from my face.
"Hey Pretty Boy." He teased, booping my nose. I blushed again.
"So why'd you ask me to come here?" I asked him.
"Because I wanted to ask- are they really going through with this plan? I know I don't have anxiety anymore, but really- are they going to do this?"
"Hopefully not. I don't want to lose you. You're you, the one and only true Anxiety."
"Thanks."
"So, why couldn't you have asked me this at the house?" I said.
"Cause why not?" He said jokingly. I rolled my eyes at him. This just wasn't Anxiety. He was so relaxed. "Well," I began, "We should head back now."
"Okay fine."
We biked back together. Thankfully the sidewalk was wide enough for both of us to ride side by side.
When we opened the front door, we were bombarded with questions from Morality. "What were you kiddos doing out there? Where'd you go? I was so worried!"
"I was talking to Princey, we went to the lake, and I'm sorry we worried you." Anxiety replied without a care. Patton visibly sighed, and then told us to tell him next time and stuff like that.
We began to walk down the hallway to our bedrooms when we were interupted by a frantic Logic. I had never seen him run.
"Quick! We need to leave! Now! It will close soon!"
"Logan-wha?" I questioned. He grabbed my sleeve, pulling me through the house. "No time! I'll explain on the way!"
