Chapter 11 - Terminological Inexactitudes

It was me and Sky's 3 month anniversary. I still wonder how I got so lucky.

And to celebrate, Sky and I attended a party near his house.

Don't worry, this isn't the story of how I lost my virginity and got knocked up. But maybe that would have been less painful. But no, fate had better plans for me apparently.

This is the story of how every closure starts with a beginning.

Something had been bothering Sky and it was greatly affecting me too. He would sometimes even forget everything I had said to him and doze off to whatever it was that was occupying his thoughts.

I tried to make him confess but he beat me to it. So I had put the topic to rest.

But he had looked paler and more worried than any night. I was starting to get worried.

I lightly touch his cheek and look straight into his eyes.

"Are you okay Sky?" I say, I was filled with concern.

"I'm alright." he says and lightly brushes his soft lips to my forehead.

"Are you sure?" I was still not convinced.

"I'm fine, really. Just enjoy the party Chloe." he says as he holds my waist.

I sighed and did enjoy the party. Although I think I had one too many drinks and was now slumped on the couch. Sky was nowhere to be seen and I couldn't quite stand up. Everything became a blur and the only thing I remember was someone lifting me up bridal style.

I woke up the next day with a headache but I was in my bedroom. Sky was nowhere to be seen and there was a letter on my bed. My head was pounding so I put the letter aside hoping to read it later on.

I didn't remember how much booze I drank yesterday, and I didn't plan on finding out.

So I rubbed my temple and snuggled back into my cozy blankets. But before I dozed off, I checked the time on my phone and it was 9:00 am. I yawn and dreamily fell into slumber.

I woke up to the sound of my phone which made me jolt upright. I rubbed my eyes as I tried to refresh my brain.

I grab my phone to see who was calling me. I was hoping that it was Sky but to my surprise, it was Luke. One of Sky's bestfriend.

"Hey Luke." I say with a sleepy tone.

"Hey Chloe. Have you seen Sky? I haven't heard from him all day." he says with concern laced in each word.

"No, I haven't." I say sullenly. "I've been having the worst hangovers since that party."

"Right, you were mad drunk last night. Sky took you home after you passed out on the couch." he says.

And I swear, I could hear him giggle as he reminisced about it.

I sigh and rub my temples. "Please tell Sky to call me if you ever see him."

"Sure Chloe." Luke says as he ends the call.

I look at the time, it was 4:00 pm. I had been sleeping for 5 hours!

I throw my phone into the sea of blankets as I rest my head into the fluffy pillows.

I suddenly remembered about the letter and fish it out of my blankets.

I opened the letter,

"I'm leaving this town. I need space and closure. Goodbye Chloe. I'm sorry.
