Jason's POV

*lunch time*

I quickly surveyed my area and chose the table where Leo, Nico, and Thalia were sitting.

Leo was inhaling Doritos. Nico was sitting there with a stopwatch (probably timing Leo) and Thalia was on her phone.

"Where are the others?" I asked.

"Probably on their way..." Thalia answered without taking her eyes off of her phone.

Wow that's reassuring. I dropped my backpack on the lunch table and made my way over to the lunch line. Let's see...hamburgers? Gag they looked at least two weeks old. Pizza? No I had that yesterday...BINGO! Nacho bar! I grabbed some nacho's and sat down at our table. As soon as I sat down Piper plopped down next to me.

"Hey Pipes," I said and gave her a little kiss on the cheek. "What's wrong?"

"Ugh. The usual. No one will leave me alone. Gods why me?! Why can't it be Leo." Leo stopped inhaling Doritos at the sound of his name.

"Whaaaaa?" He asked and he spit Doritos out everywhere as he said it.

"Never mind," Piper said. "Hey look there's Annie!"

Annabeth ran in the lunchroom with a ghostly pale face and a look of urgency.

This could only mean one thing. Someone was in trouble.

In unison we all dropped our lunches and ran out of the lunchroom. I quickly flipped my golden drachma which landed on sword. Piper grabbed her dagger from her UGG boots, and Leo pulled out a hammer from his tool belt. Thalia unfortunately couldn't hide a bow and arrow anywhere, so she pulled out a dagger from her combat boots. Finally Nico grabbed a butter knife on his way out of the lunch room.

Annabeth lead us to a part of the school I had never seen before. She sneaked through corridors a and hallways until we came upon the indoor archery room. While we all caught our breath she explained.

Percy and Annabeth were walking in the halls before 5th period when they ran into Frank and Hazel. Percy was heading for Spanish, Annabeth was heading towards English, and Frank and Hazel had science. Halfway through English someone came to get Annabeth. So she followed the teacher out into the hall and watched as the teacher started to melt. She listened as it half whispered half hissed. 'I know what you are young demigod. You seriously thought you could overthrow Gaea? She will be back and when she does-'. That's all she said because Annabeth had pulled her dagger out and slit her throat. Annabeth had a feeling that the creature had not only come after her so she grabbed the teacher clothes that the monster had so kindly left behind put them on and went into Spanish asking for Percy Jackson. Apparently another teacher had come to grab him already. When she found this out Annabeth searched the rest of the period for Percy and didn't stop. When she found him she discovered they had also taken Frank and Hazel so she had come to get us to rescue them.

"What were the monsters?" Thalia asked.

Annabeth shook her head. "For once I have no idea. I fear they're making new ones down it Tartarus..."

"I've been feeling something for awhile..." Nico marveled.

"What does this mean?" I asked.

"Well, if there making new monsters it's because they will be more efficient, possibly even kill better but it could also mean..." She trailed off.

"There going to be stronger." Nico said flatly.
