Chapter 12
Leo's POV
So I was in the middle of an epic battle when...poof! All of the monsters disappeared. The only problem is that they didn't take the mess with them. The entire gym was destroyed. I jumped down from my rafter and joined my friends.
"How in Hades do we clean all of this up!" Nico yelled.
"With Saturday detention, of course," I spun around to find Mrs. Koskowski, the high school counselor behind us with Mr. Wade, the principal at her heals. "Why have you chosen to destroy school property! This is an outrage! I shall call your uncle and let him know about your choices. The bell will ring any moment now for dismissal. I suggest you get your stuff together and prepare for the worst."She stretched out worst as if to intimidate us.
*time lapse*
"WHAT IN THE GODS' NAMES HAVE YOU DONE CHILDREN!" Chiron roared. The bus had dropped us off at camp and about 2 seconds later Chiron galloped over with a look that could kill.
"We were kind of attacked..." Percy mumbled. You could barely understand him because of his swollen lips.
"Well of course I know what happened! It's all over Olympus!" Chiron pointed to a tv which appeared. Sure enough there was a video of is fighting with the headline 'reckless demigods destroy gymnasium'.
"We're not reckless!" Piper whined.
"Yeah! They attacked Percy, Frank and Hazel." Jason said.
"I don't care who did what! You children don't understand!" Chiron's voice was starting to rise.
"Don't understand what, Chiron?" Annabeth asked.
"High school was a test, the monsters were a test, everything after the final battle was a test!"
"Why are we being tested?" I asked.
"Because the gods seemed to think that you proved yourselves..."
"Andddd?" I asked.
"They want to give you the opportunity to become gods! And so far the chances aren't looking so good."
No one said anything after that.
