Chapter 19
Leo's POV
***WARNING SLIGHT BOO SPOILERS***
I needed to get to her, Calypso I mean. I couldn't stop thinking about her. As soon as we were back to Camp Half-Blood I instantly started experimenting ways to reach her. I tried so many ways I lost count.
Finally I decided to seek the god Apollo.
"O' Iris, goddess of rainbow. Show me Apollo, god of the sun," I chanted.
"Did someone call the most awesome god ever?"
"Lord Apollo of awesomeness, I seek your guidance," I said slightly annoyed.
"Yo! Leo my homie! How are things going with the ladies?" He asked.
"Actually, Apollo that's what I called you about. I need to find a way to get back to Calypso," I told him.
"Ahh good choice, she is beautiful isn't she? The only way you could possibly get back to her is to somehow break like every rule ever," Apollo responded,
"Well I'm all about breaking rules and doing the impossible," I simply stated.
"Well in that case if you have an object from the island and someway to activate it, it could potentially take you back to where it came from. The last ingredient needed to activate it is to sacrifice yourself. The object should hopefully help you cheat death. However this method is extremely dangerous and almost impossible."
"Again I'm all about the impossible, thanks Apollo," I said.
"No problem Leo!"
I went strait to work.
I took the crystal that I brought with me from the Island and connected it with an astrolabe used by Odysseus, stolen by the Stoll brothers. Once that was done I put the last of my fireproof cloth on the walls of my room and hoped that it would keep the fire in my room.
I needed to sacrifice myself.
Although I'm immune to fire I'm not sure if I'll make it. Is there a limit to my fireproofness? Finally I wrote a letter to everyone and hid it where no one would find it for awhile, just so in the end they will know the truth.
I summoned fire in my left hand, and with my contraption in the other, I lit myself on fire.
"FOR CALYPSO!" I yelled.
